INTERDISCIPLINARY AND PRESENTATION

daid year 1

This module was primarily an introduction to the art of expression and
presentation, many of the briefs reiterate how important it is to gain knowlegde on
color palletes, layouts and proportion aswell as exploring the skill of layering with
2 both analogue and digital platforms. all of the projects above were analogue and
most were produced through collaging.

INTERDISCIPLINARY AND PRESENTATION

daid year 1

This exercise was based on choosing a color palette that best describes my
3 ambitions and motives and is accompanied by my manifesto.

4

In this brief we were required to draw 3 figures, 3 trees and a sky, and we were to
use these in a section of our choice and illustrate an ambience or theme from our
5 imagination.

66

77

This brief was an exercise to create a logo that best describes
me and the word i chose was versatile, because i enjoy doing an
experiencing new things. Be it art, music, sport, i'm willing to try
new activities.

In this brief we were required to create a company name and
logo. i thought of the name Poly-archi Architects because the
word 'polyarchy' refers to organisation that has multiple
8 leaders striving for the same purpose.

14 In the image above we were required to replicate the cad drawing file given to us
,this was our first brief that taught us how to draw, dimension and label on
autocad.

This is presentation that i made with instructions oh how to download and use cad-
blocks and hatches. This was a requirement for the exam.

Computers (Rhino and Photoshop)

daca year 1

This brief was a task on modeling our dream houses using rhino and
17 this is a house in Ahmedabad India named Casa Bianca that was

designed by The Grid Architects. https://www.archdaily.
com/963458/casa-bianca-the-grid-architects

The next brief was very fun and interesying to do because we were
tasked to redesign the house that we currently live in, into a futuris-
tic house in the year 2050.
The first image is my parents house that i currently live in and the
next 4 is the modeling i did on rhino accompanied by photoshop renders,
so this project was an assesment oh how we use the different
sofware.

Architectural Design

This brief was to create a pod in which two activities could
co-exist in one small scale space, the two activities i choose

was called the Fietas project. Fietas is a small town very close to
the UJ campus and we were allocated different
stands on different streets and tasked to design a double storey
building within the vacant stand with any programme of our choice on
the first floor but the ground floor was to be left as a residential.

critical regionalism and minimalism.
The site i chose for the project was
called Melville Koppies, which is a na-
ture reserve that has a very rocky
and sloped terrain.
