Welcome to Bot A Midcentury Barware Show! toms Up Welcome to the nation’s first event dedicated to the celebration of midcentury barware culture. Nestled within Ohio’s Glass Town, it’s the perfect setting to offer you an immersive midcentury experience. We’d like to personally thank you for making this inaugural event a true celebration of cocktail culture. And with that, we introduce Bottoms Up. Enjoy, learn, shop, eat, drink, and indulge. And above all, Shine On! Photo Credit: Megan Leigh Barnard - Ohio Magazine Jason & David Annecy Gay Fad Studios 2

Bottoms Up is dedicated to Fran and Dr. Stephanie Taylor, Bill Butcher, and Donna Beach. A special tribute Fran Taylor, Gay Fad Studios’ founder and CEO, left an indelible mark on midcentury glassware design. Known as the Glassware Rebel, she was a gifted artist and visionary business leader that made art accessible through everyday functional items. Taylor leveraged Gay Fad’s platform to lift the voices of countless women artists in the community so their creativity could be amplified the world over. Her legacy can still be felt today among collectors and fans that are inspired by her talent, influence, and character. Each timeless, artistic expression still sparks joy, nostalgia, and amazement. Dr. Stephanie Taylor, Fran’s daughter, is an accomplished OBGYN that created the first women’s health practice of its kind. Woman’s Wellspring, based out of Carmel, California, is a practice that focuses on providing compassionate, in-depth, and holistic women’s health care. Combined with her expertise in psychology, behavioral genetics, neurochemistry, and complementary practices, Dr. Taylor provides the highest quality women’s health care in a comfortable and supportive environment. Her encouragement to resurrect Gay Fad made it possible to enshrine Fran’s legacy and reintroduce decorated glassware to a new generation. With sincere appreciation and love, Jason and David Annecy Bill Butcher, Fran’s best friend and Gay Fad Studios’ sole Art Director, was a prolific artist that created many of Gay Fad’s timeless designs. Her exploration of florals, geometric patterns and illustrated scenes established a broad range of artistic expression. Unknown to Butcher at the time, her last collection of designs remained in her portfolio for 60 years. Donna Beach, Bill’s granddaughter, made it possible to complete Bill’s final collection so it could be enjoyed on glassware as intended. Were it not for Fran’s stirring achievements, Steph’s encouragement, Bill’s creativity, and Donna’s support, none of this would’ve been possible. During Bottoms Up, raise a glass and ‘cheers’ in celebration of them all. For Fran and Bill, their presence can be felt throughout a community that has come together to celebrate cocktail and barware culture again. For Steph and Donna, let’s show them how much Gay Fad means to us all! 3
