RIVERINE TRAINING ENGLISH VERSION
In the year 1961, in Puerto Leguizamo, Putumayo, and as a result of great efforts to develop a combat capacity in the river, we find the origin of the CIEAF in the training carried out by the nascent "Wasp Flotilla", a combat element that would become the founding emblem of river combat in Colombia. This flotilla was the result of an initiative by Marine Infantry Captain Aurelio Castrillón Muñoz and Second Lieutenant Rafael Grau Araujo in September 1956, constituted at the time by 13-foot-long aluminum boats, armed and crewed by Marines. Towards the 1990s, the Marine Infantry, in a process of modernization of its combat elements, incorporated the "Piraña" type boats. A situation that would give rise to a new organization for combat, with its own tactics and techniques, a capacity that was deployed throughout the national territory and that today is a regional benchmark in this type of military operations. In 1999 the Organitation achieved recognition as a battalion, beginning a new stage of strengthening and development that is reflected in the participation of students of other nationalities, along with the appearance years later of the Riverine Pilot and Gunner courses as a complement to the strengthening to riverine operations. Finally, in 2014, the high command made the decision to transfer the battalion to the municipality of Turbo - Antioquia, where it continues to be built in the fundamental axis of riverine operations and a landmark at the regional level. GOALS WHAT ARE RIVERINE OPERATIONS? They are the set of focused naval actions aimed at using the riverine scenario in contribution to tasks related to national security and defense, and when required, institutional support.

RIVERINE TRAINING SAFETY MEASURES IN RIVERINE OPERATIONS Ltcol. Ernesto Domínguez Tenorio will make a briefing about riverine training program UNITAS 2023. Which will be focused on general information and Q&A session. Ltcol. Ernesto Domínguez Tenorio will make an oppening meeting at "La Doctrina" where the participants will know the schedule, instrutions areas, instructors and riverine means which will be used on training. Following you will see the schedule: In this instruction, the participants will be made aware of all the security measures before, during and after a riverine operation in order to avoid operational setbacks and successfully fulfill the mission. In this instruction the participants will learn about the generalities and nature of riverine operations and how they were born in the Colombian Marine Corps. This instruction is about machine guns´history, its both techniques and tactical characteristics, and its proper function. The instruction is focused on machine guns M2HB.50- M240 B – MK-19 which are employed aboard tactical boat during the execution of riverine operations. Also the participants will get instructions about riverine shooting techniques, angles shooting for each type of machine guns, and security considerations during fire and movements procedures. Likewise the participants will learn both the right body posture and handling weapons at the moment to shoot machine guns placed aboard tactic boats which are used on the execution of riverine operations. RIVERINE TACTICS PROCEDURES MARINE PLATOON (PIM) PROCEDURES RIVERINE SHOOTING RIVERINE OPERATIONS PLANNING PROCESS The participants will identify the important factors which must be evaluated at the moment to develop riverine operations planning process. The participants will identify and putting on practice all the concepts disscused during the theorical instructions. Also they will practice the riverine shooting preparatoty concepts which will be put on practice at the moment to shot the machine guns placed aboard tactical boats. The participants will know about colombian marine platoons structure and how it is organized for combat operations. Likewise the participants will learn about both insercion and extraction procedures executed by marine platoons at the moment to execute a riverine operations. The participants will learn about how the riverine operations are conducted through of execution of riverine tactics procedures. En el año de 1961, en Puerto Leguizamo, Putumayo, y producto de grandes esfuerzos por desarrollar una capacidad de combate en el río, encontramos como origen de la Escuela de Combate Fluvial los entrenamientos realizados por la naciente “Flotilla avispa” unidad que se convertiría en el emblema fundante del combate fluvial en Colombia, la cual fue el resultado de una iniciativa por parte del Capitán de I.M. Aurelio Castrillón Muñoz y el Teniente de Fragata Rafael Grau Araujo en septiembre de 1956, constituidas en su momento por botes de aluminio de 13 pies de eslora, armados y tripulados por Infantes de Marina. Hacia los años de 1990 la Infantería de Marina en un proceso de modernización de sus unidades incorporó a los botes tipo “Piraña” situación que daría origen a una nueva organización para el combate, con sus propias tácticas y técnicas, capacidad que se desplegó a lo largo y ancho del territorio nacional y que hoy por hoy es referente regional en ese tipo de operaciones militares. En 1999 la Unidad alcanza el reconocimiento como Unidad Táctica, comenzando una nueva etapa de fortalecimiento y desarrollo que se refleja en la participación de alumnos de otras nacionalidades, junto con la aparición años más tarde de los cursos de Piloto y Artillero fluvial como complemento al fortalecimiento a las operaciones fluviales. Finalmente, en el año 2014, el mando toma la decisión de trasladar la unidad al municipio de Turbo Antioquia, donde la unidad se sigue construyendo en el eje fundamental de las operaciones fluviales y referente a nivel regional. Las Operaciones fluviales se materializan mediante la ejecución de procedimientos tácticos fluviales, que son las acciones tácticas ejecutadas por las propias tropas sobre el escenario fluvial.
Se realizará una reunión preliminar en la que se hará la presentación del programa de entrenamiento fluvial UNITAS 2023 por parte del señor TCCIM Ernesto Domínguez Tenorio Director Centro Internacional Excelencia Avanzada Fluvial al personal de alumnos del entrenamiento fluvial UNITASCOLOMBIA 2023. Se dará presentación por parte del Director Centro Internacional Excelencia Avanzada Fluvial de la apertura al ENTRENAMIENTO FLUVIAL, UNITAS – COLOMBIA 2023, así mismo la presentación general de cómo se va a desarrollar el ejercicio. Acuerdo horario ENTRENAMIENTO FLUVIAL, UNITAS – COLOMBIA 2023 se inicia con: En esta instrucción se le dará a conocer al personal de alumnos todas las medidas de seguridad antes, durante y después de una operación fluvial con el fin de evitar reveses operacionales y cumplir con éxito la misión. En esta instrucción se le dará al personal de alumnos las generalidades y la naturaleza de las operaciones fluviales y como nacieron en la Infantería de Marina de Colombia. En esta instrucción se le dará a conocer al personal de alumnos la historia, características técnicas y tácticas y el funcionamiento de las armas de acompañamiento (M2HB.50- M240 B – MK-19) empleadas en un bote táctico para el desarrollo de las operaciones fluviales. Así mismo se les dará instrucción preparatoria para tiro fluvial, ángulos de tiro de cada una de las ametralladoras, entrega de fuego y precauciones en maniobras de fuego en movimiento donde el alumno aprenderá la correcta posición corporal y empuñadura del arma para realizar el ejercicio de tiro fluvial a bordo de un bote táctico empleado en las operaciones fluviales. PROCEDIMIENTOS TÁCTICOS FLUVIALES PROCEDIMIENTOS PIM TIRO FLUVIAL PLANEAMIENTO DE OPERACIONES FLUVIALES En esta instrucción los alumnos identificarán cuales son los factores que se deben tener en cuenta el en planeamiento de una operación fluvial. En esta instrucción los alumnos identificarán y colocarán en práctica todo lo visto en la instrucción preparatoria de tiro fluvial para llevar a cabo el ejercicio de tiro fluvial con las armas de acompañamiento utilizadas en un bote táctico en las operaciones fluviales. En esta instrucción a los alumnos se les dará a conocer la organización y conformación de un Pelotón de I.M, y los procedimientos de inserción y extracción para el desarrollo de una operación fluvial. En esta instrucción a los alumnos se les enseñarán y conocerán como las Operaciones fluviales se materializan mediante la ejecución de procedimientos tácticos fluviales, que son las acciones tácticas ejecutadas por las propias tropas sobre el escenario fluvial.
