Matheney ~ Officiant Prelate, Florida Western Ecclesiastic Jurisdication In Loving Memory of Lady Lois J. Cole Sunrise: November 12, 1940 ~ Sunset: February 11, 2024

Lady Lois J. Cole Lady Lois Cole is a birth citizen of Crossett, Arkansas. Her childhood was blissful as well as guarded with disciplined biblical teaching from her parents, the late Willie J. Matheney and Mother Jewel Matheney who did not apologize for knowing Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. They were Christians and they raised their children in a God-fearing home. Lady Lois accepted Jesus as her personal savior at a young age and enjoyed the reward of a blessed journey in life. She graduated from T.W.D. High School in 1958. She left Crossett, Arkansas the day after graduation to follow her dreams in Southern California. Thanks to her Uncle Johnny and Aunt Lille who shared their already full car headed to the city of Los Angeles. In California she resided with her sister Yvonne and her husband (Pastor Allen Rucker), who were leaders of Good News Church of God in Christ, Los Angeles, CA. This is where she was introduced to “Ministry 101!” During her time at Good News Church, she was involved in multiple ministries. While serving, she met and married Robert Ray Cole. Their lives were intertwined in marriage which spanned over 5 decades. To this union were born two children, Patrick, and Sheri. This dynamic duo served in ministry over 30 years as Pastor and Wife at the Crusaders Temple COGIC. Lady Lois Cole was responsible for launching many ministries and motivating others to identify and accept their God-given gifts. She served in the following capacities: President of the Women’s Affairs Organization, leader of the Intercessory Prayer Ministry, (she prayed for so many) and Family-Life Ministry Advisor (she counseled so many). Lady Cole also established a ministry called “King’s Daughters”. In this ministry she mentored young ladies ages 12-18 in practical and spiritual life applications. Lady Lois had a gift of hospitality and hosted many. Following the leadership of the Holy Spirit many ideas and innovative ministries were developed under her leadership. In Jurisdiction Number 1 Southern California, Lady Lois Cole served as leader of “Administrative Assistants and Clergy Wives”, under the leadership of Mother Barbara McCoo Lewis. As a result of her services, she was awarded an Award of Ministry. Education was important to Lady Lois. She obtained an Associate Degree from Southwest College, and a Bachelor’s of Art’s Degree from Dominguez Hills University, with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education. She served as an educator in the L.A.U.S.D for many years. Lady Lois Cole recently became a best-selling author with the publication of two books entitled, “Dr. Robert R. Cole The Marriage, The Man, The Ministry, The Mandate” and “Matters that Matter” (a handbook for ministering to bereaved families). Lady Lois, affectionally known as “Momma Lois” to her family, prayed daily for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. After moving to Jonesboro, Arkansas to reside with her daughter, Sheri and Son in Love Jeffery Adams Sr. Lady Lois Cole continued to allow the Lord to use her in ministry as the Spirit guided. Lady Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Robert R. Cole. She leaves her love and memories to be cherished by: her son, Patrick Cole (Sonia), daughter Sheri Adams (Jeffery Sr.): seven grandchildren, Ashley Cole, Ryan Cole (Brianna), Kenneth Cole (Anni), Dr. Eryn J.
