Demetra Marie Atkins was born on October 15 1973 to her mother Dorothy Turner-Holland
and herfather David Atkins in Inglewood California , She was a beautiful person who kept
everyone together and would do just about anything for you. Demetra was the life of the party.

She always wanted to keep folk happy so she specialized in decorating and throwing parties for
family and friends. Although Demetra did not have any children of her own she was blessed to be
the God Mother to her best friend/sister Leslie McDade six children Ashley, Danielle, Breanna,
Sky, Devin and Sir. You may say she was the God mother but she was more like a second mom to
them. She loved them dearly.

Atkins (Los Angeles) Sister: Janice Marie Lawrence (Los Angeles) Brothers: Xavier Holland and
Davion Atkins (Los Angeles) and Rochard Garrett/Holland Carthage, Texas (Deceased)

Nephew’s: Roshabrius and Shmar Garrett/Holland (Carthage Texas) Aunts: Laverne Johnson
(Austin Texas) Lydia Mckinney (Los Angeles) Leeneal Turner ( Los Angeles) Uncles: Tommy
Dancy (Los Angeles) Johnny Atkins (Los Angeles) Cousins: Birdnita Dancy, Michael Stewart,
Latasha Wright and Kathryn Love and more but not named.

Special Love: best friends since junior and high school Leslie McDade, Gisele Price
and Toya Williams As well as many other great uncles, aunts and cousins.

Her Love

Letting Go & Letting God
The Angels gathered near your side

So very closed to you
For they knew the pain and suffering

That you were going through
I thought about so many things
As I held tightly to your hand
How I knew that you were strong

And happy once again
Bur your eys were looking homeward

To the place beyond the sky
Where Jesus held his outstretched arms

It was time to say Good-bye
For what I wanted to say

So, we could walk and talk again
Like we did...Just yestereday
But Jesus knew the answer
And I knew he loved you

We’ve made lots of great memories
I knew you would always have my back

That I could count on you
We were there for each other

By blood we are cousins
And we will be to the end
Now its time to go to Heaven
