Lenora Gunn

Lenora Gunn

In Loving Memory of
Lenora Gunn

August 23, 1941 – July 12, 2016

Sunrise Sunset

As the sun rose on August 23, 1941, a star was born –

Lenora Bosley the eldest daughter of Gregory and Stella
Bosley in Zimmerman, Louisiana. She greeted life with
vitality, exuberance, and great laughter. Her early
education was in Zimmerman and she continued life’s
education into secondary school.

She accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and was filled
with the Holy Spirit at Greater Bethany Apostolic Church
under the pastorage of the late Bishop Rowan W. McManus

She met and married Leon Treece and unto this union was
born Leon, Jr. (preceded her in death), Denny (preceded her
in death), Rosalin (preceded her in death), Barb, Roy, Jean
(preceded her in death), and Carla. This union ended in the
demise of Leon Treece, Sr.

She later met and married Verton Gunn. Unto this union
was born a son, Howard Gunn. This union ended in the
demise of Verton Gunn.

Acknowledgments

The New Testament informs us that it is more blessed to
give than to receive. We have found that among you, our
family, and our friends. Your prayers, your presence,
beautiful flowers and cards, and your relentless
expressions of your love for our family is greatly
appreciated. What ever you did to console our hearts, we
thank you so very much.

May God bless you.

Special thanks to St. Francis ER team, nurses, physicians,
Ms. Bee, and the City of Refuge Hospitality Committee.

The Family

“I’m Free”

Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free
I’m following the path God laid for me.
I took his hand when I heard Him call

I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day

To laugh, to love, to work and play.
Tasks left undone, must stay that way
I’ve found that peace at the close of day.

If my parting has left a void
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
Ah yes, these things, I too will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life’s been full, I savored much
Good Friends, good times, my loved one’s touch
Perhaps my time seamed all too brief
Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and share with me,
God wanted me now, He set me free!

In dealing with her children, Lenora showed a great amount
of love and constant understanding, a special sweetness,
self-sacrifice, and her never ceasing prayers. She had a
smile and a laughter that seemed to chase our cares away, an
understanding look that tells much more than it can say…
Mother was the love that we could all count on through the
years. She was a devoted wife, and loving mother, and a
gracious lady.

She always gave a piece of her heart to all she knew.
