ALEXIS’ JOURNEY

Jacquelyn Alexis Miller was born on July 22, 1983 in Pacoima, CA to
Ronald and Jacqueline Miller. Indeed, a special day as it was her mother’s birthday.

Alexis, affectionately known as LayLay, was the baby of the family. She and her three older
siblings; Audra, Aprile, and Ron Jr. were raised in a devout Christian home and attended
church regularly. Alexis was baptized and filled with the Holy Spirit as a young girl.
Alexis attended Pacoima Elementary School before the family relocated to the Antelope
Valley where she attended New Vista Middle School and Antelope Valley High School.
It was during her high school years that she met and fell in love with Anthony Lenoir Jr.
Through that relationship, Alexis was quickly adopted into the Coney Family. During
Anthony and Alexis’ 17 year relationship, they welcomed three beautiful children; Jocelyn
Lenoir, Anthony Lenoir III, and Jazlyn Lenoir.

Alexis worked at the Sears Jewelry counter in the Antelope Valley Mall for several years
before becoming a stay-at-home mother to her children who she loved more than life.
Nothing in the world meant more to her than children. She spent her days nurturing them.
Alexis was rarely seen without her babies by her side. Alexis’ beauty and gentle demeanor
captured the hearts of every person she came in contact with. She is said to be the sweetest
most angelic person you’d ever meet. No matter the obstacles she was dealing with, she
would always muster up the strength to encourage those around her. She was never known
to speak a negative word about anyone. Alexis was very talented. She was known for her
fabulous hair styling. LayLay knew how to hook some hair up! She also had a secret talent
of singing.

Alexis is preceded in death by grandparents; Ernest Rowe, Bessie Ruth Rowe and Betty Jo Miller.
