In Loving Memory of
~~Evangelist Henrietta May Ayer~~
December 25, 1935- August 16, 2016
On December 25, 1935, Henrietta May Ayer; was born to Willie and
Ida Gomes in Irwinton, Georgia. She left at an early age and moved to
Cleveland, Ohio. Sis Ayer was reborn when she baptized in Jesus Name and
filled with the Holy Ghost, on Easter Sunday, at the Pentecostal Church of
Christ, under the late Elder Fishman in Cleveland, Ohio. There she met her
husband Nathan Ayer, and to this union were born two girls, Sara and
Linda. This completed a blended family of five.
In 1971, she moved to Nevada and attended Bethune Apostolic
Church, under the Leadership of the late Bishop Casey McColl. In the early
80’s, she started a morning service called, “The Victory Service,” and she also
started the “Task Force” in the early 90’s. She attended Anthem Bible College
and Community Church, and was ordained National Evangelist and
appointed 2nd Assistant Pastor in the early 90’s. She evangelized in other
states, and counseled saints when she worked for the church. She also was a
Sunday school teacher, missionary, a pray warrior, and a saint of the most
high God. Before she became a traveling Evangelist, she would visit and
minister to the sick and shut in. She had the gift of healing, casting out
demons, and praying for the barren and they delivered children.
She also attended Faith Ministries, pastored Elder Arnold Johnston,
Temple Apostolic Church of Carson City, pastored by Elder Kinsey, and
Harmony Apostolic Church, pastored by Bishop Swanson. In the early 00’s,
she moved to Las Vegas, Nevada and attended Mountainview Ministries,
pastored by Elder Hampton, then she later joined The Apostolic Church
under the leadership of Bro. Stoltz, where she worshiped and praised God.
She loved her pastor and the saints at The Apostolic Church. She was happy
to find a good pastor and friend.
She leaves to cherish her memories: Our dad Nathan Ayer; one son,
Ronald Steven; four daughters, Shirly, Deena, Sara and Linda; five brothers,
Willie, Luther, James, Tom and Robin preceded her in death; four sisters,
Laura Leigh, who preceded her in death, Marge, Matilda and Alisa; her
grandchildren; James, (who preceded her in death), Michele, Lana, Montel,
Gloria, Mark, Ken, Neesa, Sharee, William, Ven, Jasmine, Kristina, and
Brandon; great-grand’s, Alisha, Daryl, Jasmine, Peyton, Joseph, Jordan,

she would reply, “He’s better than that”. ~~
