Lenton Edward Stephens

Lenton Edward Stephens was born to John and Mabel Stephens on March 22, 1935 in
Columbia, Mississippi. He was a kind, gentle man with a warm smile, a great sense of humor, a
loving disposition and he was faithful in the Lord. He was the last of seven children; Eula,
Leedell, Isabelle, Johnnie, and Willie C., who preceded him in death and he has one remaining
sister, Irene (Carrie).

Lenton met and married his first wife Willie Mae, and they migrated to Los Angeles in 1956 to
start a new life until her untimely death in 1987. They raised six children; David, Lenton Jr.
(Stevie), Gerald, and Janet who preceded him in death. There are two daughters remaining
from their union, Patricia Sue and Alisa.

Lenton dedicated his life’s work to JBL Sound, Inc. for 45 years, where he met and married his
wife Aloma Renne’ and they shared devotion to each other for the past 32 years. He leaves
behind two sons from their union, Andre’ and his wife Ka’netra and Matthew and his wife,
Melissa.

He leaves behind ten grandchildren; Donell and Joseph (Sue), Shalondra, Robert, and Jaeson
(Lisa), Maceo (Janet), Phoenix Reign, Russell, and Thomas (Andre’), Malik (Matthew), and six
great-grandchildren. He leaves his nephew Eugene, Jr. and he leaves behind a host of nieces,
nephews, and extended family to mourn his passing and proclaim him as their “favorite uncle”.
He faithfully sang praise and worship as a member of Panorama Full Gospel Church, and he
leaves behind a close church family and friends who will cherish his memory with love.
