Linda Denise. Broadnaux was born in San Antonio Texas, on April 14,
1954. She was the fourth child of the union of Jesse Ray Broadnaux Sr and
Mildred Dees Broadnaux.

Denise or 'Denny', as she was known by her close friends and family grew
up in a family atmosphere and was the product of Los Angeles Unified
Public School System. She attended 36th Street Elementary School, Mount
Vernon Middle School and Dorsey High School.

Upon graduation from high school she enrolled at California State
University Los Angeles. During her attendance at Cal State she secured
a part time position as a radio dispatcher with the Automobile Club of
Southern California and later became a full time employee of that
organization. She remained at that job for eighteen years, and left that
position to care for her ailing father. After the death of her Dad, she
returned to the work force, securing a position as a Transit Operations
Supervisor with the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation
Authority. She remained there for sixteen years until her health began to
decline. On March 6, 2017, at 9:04am her burden was lifted and she was
called home.

Denise was a fun loving person and lived life to the fullest. She was a avid
football fan with the Raiders being her favorite team. In addition, she was
fond of watching Venus and Serena Williams attain glory in the tennis
world. Denise also had a great love of animals, as well as traveling when
time allowed.

Denise will surely be missed by family and friends. She was preceded in
death by a sister, Belinda Joyce Broadnaux and her parents. She leaves to
morn her memory a sister, Audrae LaMuriel Broadnaux, of Los Angeles
California and a brother, Jesse R. Broadnaux Jr of Glendale California, as
well a host of cousins and friends.

Footprints

One night a man had a dream.
He dreamed he was walking along the
beach with the Lord. Across the sky
flashed scenes from his life. For each
scene he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand:
one belonging to him, and the other to the Lord.
When the last scene of his life flashed

before him, he looked back at the
footprints in the sand. He noticed that
many times along the path of his life
there was only one set of footprints. He
also noticed that it happened at the very

lowest and saddest times in his life.
This really bothered him and he

questioned the Lord about it: “Lord, you
said that once I decided to follow you,

you’d walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during the most
troublesome times in my life, there is

only one set of footprints.
I don’t understand why when

I needed you most
