Floyd Darrell McIntyre was born on October 2, 1964, to his mother, Louise Sellers Mcintyre and his father Robert Elbert McIntyre in the city of Los Angeles California. Floyd Darrell was the 9 th of 9 children, 3 girls, and 6 boys. Floyd Darrell grew up in Pacoima, California. Darrell was introduced to Christ at an early age and was baptized under the leadership of Pastor J.W. Hays Greater Missionary Baptist Church. Floyd Darrell attended Pacoima Elementary School, San Fernando Middle School, and he graduated from Kennedy High School in 1983, where he became a standout All American Athlete in football. After High School, he attended California State University Northridge on a full ride scholarship from 1983 to 1987, where again became a standout athlete in football receiving all-league honors for his accomplishments. After college he coached football at Sylmar High School. While there he coached two championship teams in the City’s top division, receiving two championship rings. In 2002 Floyd Darrell retired from coaching and began working In Management for National Rent A Car. He later moved on to working for Jeld-Wen Windows and Doors, he was the Sothern California Sales Manager handling multiple high-volume accounts. Floyd Darrell moved to Palmdale California, in 1989, and in 1991 he married Althea Packer. To that union 2 children were born, Charisma Chanel Mcintyre in 1996 and Darrell Xavier Mcintyre in 1997. Darrell’s love for his family was unmatched. He loved them with all he had. He loved supporting his children in all their endeavors. Floyd Darrell served faithfully in several ministries, Shepard of the Hills, True Vine Gospel Church, Bethany Bible Church, Central District, Kingdom Destiny Fellowship International, He also attended Word Handlers Workshop yearly to strengthen his ministry gifts. While serving at Bethany Bible Church he was assigned as the Youth Pastor. He then became Senior Pastor at Bethany Bible Church in 2015. Pastor Darrell was vibrant and had an outgoing, friendly personality. Because of his personality he specialized in outreach ministry. He spent several years feeding and preaching the gospel to the homeless at Hansen Dam, winning souls for Christ was his passion. With his love for football, he never stopped coaching, he coached many of his nephews and son through there football careers. He was very ambitious and hardworking and made sure he worked diligently in the growth of Gods kingdom. He was proceeded in death by Robert Elbert McIntyre Sr. (Father) Louise Sellers McIntyre (Mother) He leaves to mourn his wife Althea McIntyre and 2 children Charisma Chanel McIntyre, Darrell Xavier Mcintyre, 2 grandchildren Remy Eve McIntyre and O’rein McIntyre, his 3 sisters, Ruby Nelson of San Antonio, Tx, Lenetta Covington of Palmdale Ca, Brenda Jones of Austin, Tx, 5 Brothers, Robert ( Rebecca) McIntyre, of Reseda Ca, Tony McIntyre of Lancaster Ca, George ( Vanessa )McIntyre, of West Palmdale Ca, Willie McIntyre (Gail) Raleigh NC, Philip (Angela) McIntyre of Washington State, Sister-In Love Brenda Jones McIntyre, God children, Isaiah Mcintyre, and Syleena Yarbrough and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
