THE
SPIRIT OF
GIVING
Touching lives by supporting the needy and vulnerable in society
affected by poverty, illness and loss of caregivers drives our Corporate
Social Responsibility. In partnership with Family Care Mission, we have
reached the homes of the marginalized through various donation and
sponsorship programs such as the High-School Sponsorship Program
where we offer educational support every year for youth in need; The
School Lunch Project where we donate meals for children in an infor-
mal school; The Rainwater Collection Project where we provided water
storage drums in the slums; Medical Support for a physically chal-
lenged boy and Buckets of Love, a Christmas gifting program of buck-
ets filled with food for an AIDS & Cancer group for 50 households in
Kibera Slums.
It is in such moments that we make a difference in our society through
the spirit of giving that changes lives and makes the world a better
place.

Sheffield Donates CSR
Water Drums in
Kawangware
Slums
As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility, Sheffield made a donation to the ‘Drum
Distribution Initiative’ by Family Care Mission. Sheffield distributed water drums in Kawang-
ware slums in November for several single parent households and informal schools in time
for fetching water during the upcoming rainy season.
Sheffield is mindful of the great need faced by the communities in the slums due to the
scarcity and lack of water supply and we are delighted to be able to donate these water
drums as they will help in harvesting and storage of water thereby ensuring a reliable
source of water.
Sheffield has partnered with Family Care Mission since 2010 to support them in their minis-
try to empower individuals, families and needy institutions by giving hope to those whose
daily struggle is survival in Kenya.
Only a life lived for
others is a life
worthwhile.

Sheffield Supports The Stev-In Educational Program
Stev-In Junior Education Centre has been
at the heart of Sheffield’s Corporate Social
Responsibility as we support The Schools’
Educational Program in partnership with
Family Care Mission.
Stev-In Junior Education Centre is in the
Gichagi Community in Kangemi where 160
children from poor families receive educa-
tional support and a daily lunch at the
School.
Sheffield donated a 500-Litre water drum
to the school for water storage which
drastically reduced their struggle of buying
water. We also made a donation for the
term for the feeding program that helped
cater for monthly meals for the children.
Our donation similarly went in structural
repair materials that has seen the repair of
leakages in the classroom roofs to enhance
the learning conditions of the children.
Academically, three beneficiaries have
progressed to higher education centers
through the sponsorship Sheffield has
made in their education: Millicent is now in
Maasai Mara University pursuing a degree
in community development and is deter-
mined to excel and give back to the com-
munity. Michelle is undertaking a course at
the Nairobi Institute of Business Studies &
Brenda is now in Form Three pursuing her
secondary education.
Sheffield is privileged to be part of provid-
ing educational support to Stev-In Junior
Education Centre.
Education is the foundation
upon which we build our
future
