We strive to put our customers at the heart of everything
we do and our achievement this year is a recognition of
the commitment of our team and the ‘can-do’ attitude
that spurs us on to work hard and serve our customers.

2019 has been a busy year, mainly due to regulatory
changes issued by HMRC putting pressure on our
helpdesk. To combat this, we have increased our head
count and employed three additional consultants to
ensure that the service we provide is not impacted in the
future.

On behalf of Signum, we would like to assure you that we
will always strive to exceed your expectations.

Operating for more than fifteen years in this ever-evolving
sector is an achievement we are extremely proud of – we
are very honoured to be here and are thankful to you all
for making it happen.

Signum’s Charity of the Year – Zoe’s Place

Signum are very pleased to announce that we have chosen Zoe's Place as our charity
of the year. We aim to raise as much money as we can for them and support the
amazing work that they do.
 
They currently have three centres open across the country; Liverpool, Coventry &
Middlesbrough. To keep just one centre open, this costs £ 1.6 million! They only
receive £200k funding from the NHS and the Government. So, raising as much
money as possible for the hospice is really important to us!

"Zoë's Place Baby Hospice exists to provide a variety of palliative and respite services
to support families of babies with life limiting or life-threatening illnesses. It is a 6-
bed hospice and is the only one in the UK that caters specifically for babies, with the
age range of 0-5 years.
 
The support that is provided is invaluable to the families, with the majority of them
getting the only 2 nights a month whereby they can have a proper night’s sleep!
 
We do not just care for the baby, but for the whole family.
 
We know that dealing with a child who has a life limiting or life-threatening illness
can be hard for everyone involved, and so we want to make it as easy as possible for
them all. We do this by creating a family like community, providing things such as
counselling sessions, sibling support, activity days and much much more."
 
Signum will be hosting fundraising events throughout the year to support the
invaluable work of Zoë’s Place.

We are very pleased to announce that we will be launching a new online training
initiative in the New Year – Back to Basics. An on-demand video series that has been
specifically designed for users of SAP Business One.
 
‘Back to Basics’ is a free, comprehensive and continual video training series that
comprises of a collection of short step by step video tutorials and covers subjects to
not only help get you get started on your SAP Business One journey but to also serve
as a reminder for long
standing users who want to brush up on SAP Business One’s core functionality.
 
The video tutorials are taught by an active SAP Business One consultant and covers a
wide range of topics from administration to warehousing and everything in between!

Forum Fridays to continue in 2020

Our Forum Friday Initiative is fast approaching 1 years old and we are very pleased with the
feedback and interactions we are having with this – Thank you!
 
We will be continuing our commitment to uploading new content to the forum every first
Friday of the month throughout 2020. Again, this will be knowledge based in the form of
hints and tips, how to guides and help sheets.

MTD News - Message from Inge

As you all know, MTD came into force this
year and it’s not been without its
trials and tribulations.
 
I wish to just take a moment and thank you
all for your patience and
understanding whilst we have worked
together through this process.
 
Please remember that the government
gateway still is the ‘official’ status quo.
After submitting your VAT return through
SAP, please do check the gateway later
that day.

If the gateway still shows the submitted
VAT return as the next VAT return due,
don’t hesitate to contact support.
 
Although, in a meeting with SAP, HMRC
confirmed they would not penalise in the
first year of MTD, we do want to prevent our
customers from being late.

ProcessForce Special Interest
Group (PFSIG) – UPDATE

You may well have noticed that we have
not held a PFSIG meeting in 2019 – don’t
worry we haven’t forgotten about it!
 
Following feedback from our last meeting
and live web session with Michal
Wieczorak, the decision was made to hold
the event in January to enable us to have
Michal attend in person!  
 
As the Head of Development for CompuTec,
Michal has a wealth of knowledge and
understanding of the ProcessForce product
and he will be available to discuss the
product roadmap and answer any
questions you may have.

Bye, Bye Wisdom Wednesday – Hello Train and Maintain! 

 
Last year we launched the training initiative – Wisdom Wednesday and although the
sessions proved popular with some, they were inconvenient for others.
 
So, back to the drawing board we went and alternative ways of delivering training
were discussed.
