PROOF ~Estella Deloris Jackson~

Estella Deloris Peoples Jackson, also known as Mollie to family and

friends, was born August 10, 1945, in Mobile, Alabama to Leo and Mary Ida
Peoples. She was the 4th sibling of a total of 13 children.

Estella married Richard Lee Jackson Sr. in 1964 after graduating from

Central High School. Out of their union came their daughter, Patricia
Ann Peoples and Richard Lee Jackson Jr. They later moved to Los Angeles,
California with their young family. While Estella had several occupations,
she started her long and rewarding career with the Pasadena Unified School
District starting out as a cook, before being promoted to Food Service
Manager. Known for her generosity, Estella would often allow the staff to
serve seconds to the students. It has been stated that, “Pasadena students
had a new liking for cafeteria food.” After over 20 years of service and
dedication, and to the disappointment of the staff and students Estella
decided to retire.

Mollie’s home was always a place of enjoyment and comfort to us all,

where you could always get a home cooked meal. Mollie always prepared
dinner every day like it was “Sunday’s Best.” She enjoyed cooking as well as
baking and never hesitated to take special requests from family and friends.
Mollie always cooked with love and you could taste the love in every bite.
No matter what your favorite dish was, Mollie made it all.

As we come together to cherish such an amazing woman, she will forever

be remembered and loved; never forgotten. Although we cannot see her
presently, we know she will remain present in our hearts. Surrounded by
family, Estella was called home by our Heavenly Father on July 13, 2015. She
is truly an unforgettable woman.

As a Family we would like to say; to my wife, to our sister, to our mother, to
our grandmother, to our aunt…”One Love, Always and Forever.”

She was loved by many. Estella leaves behind her husband Richard L.

Jackson Sr. whom she cherished and loved for 51 years; her daughter
Patricia A. Peoples and son Richard L. Jackson Jr.; her grandchildren
Christopher Jackson (Jessica), DyAnn Jeffers-Ashpaugh (Jeffery), Jennifer
Jeffers; her great-grandchildren Jonathan, Alexandria, Santino, Jasen,
Annabelle and Marcus; her brothers John Peoples (Bernice), Frank “Bubba”
Peoples, Leon Davis (Shirley), David Earl Singleton (Mable); her sisters
Cora Mae Horton (Johnny 2011), Mary “Adella” Lett (Gerald), Lela Walker,
Olivia Gray (Wayne); her brothers that preceded her in death, Willie James
Peoples, Leo Peoples Jr., Leander Peoples, David Earnest Singleton; as well
as a host of nieces, nephews, God-son Antwon Combs, God-daughters
Tamera Frazier and Christina Aguirre, her sister in Christ Marie Topps,
other family and friends.

Words of Expression......

What do I tell my daughter…

Written By DyAnn Jeffers-Ashpaugh

What do I tell my daughter about you,
When she asks who was grandma to me?
Should I tell her about the woman I knew?

Or the woman you came to be?
Do I tell her about the strength you had

Or the humble wisdom you showed?
Can I tell her about the few times I saw you sad
And how you once so broken heartedly cried?

Should I mention how I watched in awe,
When you strongly fought back once the tears dried?
I think I’ll tell her how I hated that I might be like you,

And I promised to do things how I saw fit,
But I am happy to know that it isn’t true,
Because we are similar, more than I care to admit,
I now know what I’ll tell my daughter about my grandma, about you,
That I’ll follow in the path she blazed for me,

I’d say that I am just like her
And hopefully you will be too.

Dear Heavenly Father,

I thank you right now for releasing one of your Angels from her
earthly bondage. Although this may be a time of mourning to some;
We know it to be a celebration, a homecoming if you will. Because
my Mother will no longer hurt, she will no longer feel pain, she will
no longer have to wait on a doctor's signature or diagnosis. She now
is FREE. We thank you for this life she has lived and the impact she
has left on the world, especially her children and
husband. May she truly rest in peace.

When You Can’t Hear Me

To those I love and those who love me
When I am gone, relax, release me, let me go.

You must not tie yourself to me with tears;
Be happy that we had so many years.

I gave you my love ---- you can only guess.
How much you gave to me in happiness.
I thank you for the love you each have shown;

But now its time I traveled alone.
So grieve a while for me, if grieve you must;
Then let your grief be comforted by trust.

It’s only for a while that we must part,
So bless the memories within your heart.

I won’t be far away for life goes on;
So if you need me, call and I will come.
Though you can’t see or touch me, I’ll be near,
And if you listen with your heart, you’ll hear
All of my love around you, soft and clear.
And then, when you must come this way alone,

I’ll greet you with a smile and wave,

“Welcome Home”

acknowledgments:

Thank you for your prayers, which have increased our faith.
Thank you for your words, which have encouraged our hearts.
Thank you for your presence, which has given s arms to lean

sharing, you have made our burden much lighter.
Please continue to pray for us. May God’s blessing forever shine

on each of you. In due course, we hope to personally express
our gratitude to each of you, who came, who prayed, and who
comforted us. This we shall do when our hearts are again lifted.

May God truly bless each and every one of you.
