樂曲介紹 我信音樂是用來連繫你我的溝通橋䖻，是打破隔膜的世界語言，是觸動人類心靈的聲音。這樣說來，有時只為勝 出而參加音樂比賽會讓我們遠離音樂的本質：參賽時一心想著絶不犯錯以避免扣分，無暇理會自己能否唱出感情 豐富、演繹細膩的歌聲；自選作品又側重表演難度，可惜技術與藝術的高度並不一定成正比。最終比賽獲獎固然 皆大歡喜，但䗻迷爭勝忘卻學習音樂的初心，真能幫助學生在音樂路上成長䆩？ 收到瑪利曼中學劉迪恩老師的 委約，我很快就約了岑兄見面討論創作方向。傾談中跟他分享了我對音樂與音樂比賽的上述看法，又說為兒童及 青少年譜曲，題材不一定要充滿歡笑，也可以䮽掘世界的陰暗面或是人生的不完美，人總要面對失敗，論及慘痛 低潮也未嘗不可。岑兄交出了《沒有沒有傷口的宇宙》(2018)，初讀第一稿已經非常感動，但後來我卻退縮起 來，覺得對初級組合唱團來說可能過份傷感。再三討論找出平衡點，重新修訂。此曲寄語同學，人生必會遇上困 難曲折，哭過了就重新振作，與一班戰友繼續奮鬥前行！ 譚天樂（作曲） 畢業於倫敦皇家音樂學院之歌劇課程及香港演藝學院，身兼歌唱家、指揮及作曲家。譚氏曾在世界各地不少舞台 製作中擔任要角，演出超過三十個歌劇角色 。2015年，譚氏在「譜Teen同唱 - 萬人音樂會」中擔任合唱總 監，由近萬位青年參與合唱貝多芬《第九交響曲》之《歡樂頌》打破健力士世界紀錄。2016年被委任為「香港 國際無伴奏合唱節」的藝術總監。譚氏還積極參與本地流行音樂的編曲、作曲、現場演奏及和音工作，包括為香 港管弦樂團及香港小交響樂團擔任管弦樂編曲。譚氏獲英國皇家音樂學院頒發 ARAM 榮銜，以表揚他在音樂領 域上的貢獻。2018年獲香港音樂及舞蹈聯會頒發「傑出音樂家大獎」。2023年更被香港理工大學委任為駐校 藝術家(2023-24)。譚天樂現任香港歌劇院合唱團總監、艾莉亞音樂學院院長、香港演藝學院及香港理工大學的 合唱團指揮，亦為香港電台第四台《歌劇世界》節目主持。 在創作方面，中大合唱團及香港兒童合唱團先後出版《譚天樂作品集》及《譚天樂童聲合唱作品集》，收錄了大 部份譚氏的合唱作品。2021年，香港兒童合唱團舉辦了一連兩場的「譚天樂合唱作品專場」，廣受好評。 岑偉宗（作詞） 香港浸會大學中文系畢業，香港大學教育學院哲學碩士。現職作詞人，主力創作音樂劇，詞作亦散見電影及電視 等媒介。同時也翻譯戲劇及歌詞。自九十年代開始填寫歌詞，作品無數，包括舞台劇、音樂劇、舞劇、電影、電 視劇及聲樂作品。曾獲第三十二屆香港電影金像獎最佳原創電影歌曲獎、第四十三屆台灣金馬獎最佳原創電影歌 曲獎，兩度獲香港CASH金帆音樂獎，以及四度獲得香港舞台劇獎最佳原創曲詞獎等等。著有《音樂劇場•事筆 宜詞》、《半步詞──由音樂劇到跨媒界的填詞進路》、《ꖋ寫ꖋ順戲̶岑偉宗劇本選集》。 *樂曲介紹可在音樂會簡介及場刊上自由轉載。 *此曲另有SATB版本 (CUCCS0024)。 *此曲需以ꖋ語演唱。本樂譜之ꖋ語注音採用香港語言學會ꖋ語拼音方案（ꖋ拼），相關指引請參考網頁 https:// www.lshk.org/jyutping
Programme Note I believe music is a bridge that connects us all, a universal language that knows no borders, as well as a voice that touches the soul. That being said, it appears to me that some music competitions have little to do with what I understand to be music. In a competition, instead of placing emphasis on whether or not a performance is rich in emotions or exquisite in interpretation, the focus is often shifted to choosing technically difficult pieces and avoiding making mistakes. However, technical excellence does not necessarily equate with artistic excellence. Winning competitions is something worth celebrating, but for the healthy development of the younger generation of musicians, I firmly believe that an obsession with winning is unhealthy as it makes us forget the fundamental reasons for studying music. After being commissioned by Ms. Jane Lau, conductor of Marymount Secondary School Choir, I quickly met with Chris Shum to discuss creative direction and share my views on music and competitions. I also suggested to Chris that lyrics for children and adolescents need not necessarily be joyful, as the dark side and imperfections in life are topics worth exploring. Teaching children how to face failure, or writing about pain and low points in our lives may not be a bad idea. I was immensely touched when Chris handed me the first draft of No Woundless World (2018). Chris had written a dark song just as I requested, but then I got cold feet and felt that it might be too sad for a junior choir. After further discussion, revisions were made, and I believe the correct balance was achieved. This piece conveys the message to students: It is inevitable that life is full of challenges and obstacles. You may cry, but you should pick yourself up, dust yourself off and continue to fight alongside your comrades. Alex Tam (composer) Graduated from the Royal Academy of Music in London and The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA), Alex Tam is an opera singer, conductor and composer, having performed leading roles in stage productions worldwide, including over 30 operatic roles. Alex was the Chorus Master of the Guinness World Record-breaking event, ODE TO JOY - Concert of Ten Thousand in 2015, and was appointed Artistic Director of the Hong Kong International A Cappella Festival in 2016. Alex is also active in the pop music field, composing and arranging for pop artists, including orchestral arrangements for The Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra and Hong Kong Sinfonietta. In recognition of his significant contributions to the music profession, Alex received the ARAM award from the Royal Academy of Music, and the Outstanding Musician Award from the Hong Kong Music and Dance Association in 2017 and 2018 respectively. In 2023, Alex was appointed Artist in Residence (2023-24) of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Alex is currently Chorus Director of Opera Hong Kong, founder of Aria Academy of Music, as well as choir conductor of PolyU and HKAPA. Alex is also a radio presenter on RTHK Radio 4. As a composer, Alex's compositions have been featured in the Alex Tam Collection published by CU Chorus as well as the Alex Tam Choral Collections for Treble Voices published by The Hong Kong Children's Choir. In 2021, The HKCC presented two highly acclaimed performances titled HKCC sings Alex Tam which exclusively showcased Alex's compositions. Chris Shum (lyricist) Chris Shum graduated from the Department of Chinese Language and Literature, Hong Kong Baptist University, and the Master programme of Faculty of Education, the University of Hong Kong. He has been an active lyricist since the 1990s, writing lyrics for theatre, musicals, dance, films, TV programmes and songs. He also makes Cantonese translations of Western lyrics and plays. His lyrical works won numerous awards in Hong Kong Film Award, Taipei Golden Horse Awards, CASH Golden Sail Music Awards and Hong Kong Drama Awards.
