The Very Bad Day

Tom was having a bad day. His black lab ripped
his couch, and he was out of bread, so he couldn’t
have toast. Then he remembered there was a
tornado warning for today while he was watching tv
last night. Tom knew he had to go to work though.
He went outside and it was showering.

Tom went back inside and looked at the clock. It
was already 7:50, and he had to be at work by 8:00
and his work was 20 minutes away. “My boss is
going to fire me!” he exclaimed.

Tom has yes! It's your

years of early
working at
the Fine
Paper
Newspaper
Company.

When he was
driving, he looked at his
phone for a second
because he got a text
and then BOOM! He hit
the car in front of him.
Luckily, he was ok, but
his car was not. The
person in the car in
front of him got out and
started yelling at him.
Tom said he would pay
for all the damage done
to the car.

All of a
sudden, the
tornado sirens
went off. Tom
called his
friend, Bob, to
come pick
Tom, and the
other person
up quickly.

When Bob got there in his
truck, the tornado got closer and
closer.

The cars lifted off the ground
a little but fell back down. “Get
in,” Bob said.

When everyone was in, Bob
drove as fast as he could to the
nearest tornado shelter.

When the
tornado stopped,
Bob drove the
other person
home and Tom to
work. Tom’s
boss, Gary, was
standing at the
front door with a
smile on his face
relieved that Tom
was ok.

Tom and Gary Thank Now you
talked about their you get a
troubles in the raise
tornado and then
Gary mentioned
a raise because
he was the only
one who showed
up to work! Tom
happily accepted
and Gary let him
have the day off.

three years
later, With the
raise, Tom got a
new house, got
married, and had
two kids, a son
and a daughter.

Tom said,
“Just think this all
started from me
having a bad
day.”
