The Box

​ Once there was a girl named Ellie. One
day there was a knock on her door, she
opened the door and saw a box!

I​ t said emergencies only, but she wanted
to open it so she did. There was a book
inside, and it was very dusty.

She could not see the title. The next day
she went to school, and was painting a
picture. She was wearing a very pretty
dress, with sparkles.

When she was painting she spilled
some paint on her pretty dress. She was
very sad, all the way home.

When she got home she remembered
her book. It said for emergencies only. She

thought that this was an emergency.

​She saw something that helped here get
out the paint. She used a recipe from the
book to help get the stain out. When she
took it out of the washer she saw that the
paint was gone.

She was so happy, that she took the book
to school and shared it with them. When
they had a problem they would use that
book. One time Ellie's friend used it to get
rid of her vegetables.
