Director’s Note

It's not about an invisible virus creating havoc in the lives of arguably the most visible
destroyers of planet earth. And it seems not to be done..... not yet. It's about how each
one of us, individually and collectively faced the challenge(s).

We at NADS and ICSE CONCEPTS, never gave up on time tested methods but tried
our best to blend the modern into the traditional. We stood by our principles and
continue to do so. We are sure we have not gone amiss. But of course, time will tell.
It always does.

On a general note , and restricting myself to the NADS and ICSE CONCEPTS family,
my heart goes out to
• Students, their parents, teachers and the non teaching staff who have lost loved ones
• Students, their parents, teachers and the non teaching staff who have gone through

the highs and lows of the roller coaster ride 2020 in the confines of their homes and
not (how we wish) in an amusement park, mentally and emotionally.
• Students who had only technology as friends as well as their play tools and their
parents (monitoring them day in and day out) within this concrete jungle of Mumbai.
• Students and their parents who have had to bear me and my team of teaching and
non teaching staff (though for the first time ever, we have been accused of being
more of a SANTA than HITLER)

In fact, here was a year which HUMBLED all of us and TAUGHT us lessons which we
thought we already knewis NADS as well as ICSE CONCEPTS ready for the latest
contemporary challenges and those likely to land up in the immediate future?

Interaction with Parents (SSC)

General

April, 2021

i) We lay out our roadmap to the success of the student.
ii) We shall convey to the parents how they can contribute to the academic growth

in particular (and very often growth in general) of the student.
iii) We have an interactive session with the parents and the students on all issues,

which affect the growth and development of the child during the most important
academic year of their lives in school.

November, 2021

i) We brief up the parents on what we have done during the period April 13, 2021 to
October 31, 2021.

ii) We shall discuss in the minutest of detail, how the student needs to work from
November, 2021 till and during the SSC Board Examination March 2022.

iii) We shall have an interactive session with the parents and the students to discuss
any and every kind of problem, which the student may have faced during the year
or is likely to face during the last three to four months of preparation.

Personal

Between the parent and faculty:

Any time between April 13, 2021 and the last day of the board examination as need arises
between the parent and faculty on the request of either.

Between both the parents, student and counselors:

Expert professional counseling on
(a) Career options as well as
(b) Personality Development
has been made an integral part of learning at NADS.
This exercise is COMPULSORY and is in the best interest of the growth and
development of the child (academic and otherwise).

Please Note:Interaction schedule for parents of students of ICSE will be
announced in due course of time.

• Felicitation of achievers in the SSC/HSC/ICSE Board Examinations.

TESTS @ NADS 2021-22

• Weekly tests for all subjects will be held from the commencement of the academic year itself.
• CHAPTER-WISE TESTS for ALL SUBJECTS will be conducted every week.
• Chapter-wise test in each and every subject will be exactly as per the BOARD PATTERN

(unless it is impossible to do so).
• For Std. VIII and Std. IX MOCK UNIT TESTS / TERMINAL or FINAL EXAMINATIONS will be

held for all subjects as per -
a) the school syllabus.
b) the school paper pattern.
• Solutions to the test (with marking scheme wherever possible / necessary will be made
available to the student) along with the corrected answer paper.
• Corrected papers will be provided to the students within 10 days of writing the test.
• Students have to get the signatures of BOTH their parents on the very same day and submit
the signed papers for verification of signatures after which the student should file the papers,
subject-wise.

Preliminary Examinations SSC 2021-22

We shall conduct FOUR PRELIMINARY EXAMINATIONS during the months of
November 2021 | December 2021 | January 2022 | February 2022.
