HEAD OF SCHOOL'S MESSAGE
Last week Queen Elizabeth II, Queen of the United Kingdom and the
Commonwealth realms died aged 96. Our sincere condolences on
behalf of the CISM community go out to the Royal Family at this very
sad time. Since her passing, many people have reminisced about her
leadership and devotion to duty. She was the epitome of a life of
service to her crown and country. She has also been heralded as a
strong, dignified role model for women of all ages. She was
extremely popular throughout her long reign and was known for
taking a serious interest in government and political affairs. A
Christmas tradition in the United Kingdom was to listen to the
Queen’s Christmas Day message. In 1974, her message was one of
encouragement and hope given the problems of the day; famine,
floods and continuing violence in parts of the country and the world.
During her speech she reminded listeners, “We may hold different
points of view, but it is in times of stress and difficulty that we most
need to remember that we have much more in common than there
is dividing us”.

MEET THE TEACHERS
Dragon Chronicles Bi-weekly Teacher Interview
Interview with Mrs. Madhumita Saini
By Mr. Pranay Saini
Pranay Saini: What inspired you to become a teacher?
Ms. Madhu: I guess I became a teacher because I thought that it was the only
profession where I could do whatever I liked to do: for example, dancing, acting, teaching
content, and getting the attention of the kids.
Pranay Saini: What's your favorite teaching moment?
Ms. Madhu: My favorite teaching moments are teaching my kids! (when Pranay and
Hriday became my students and I taught them).
Pranay Saini: Ok, but aside from that bias, is there any other moment that stands out
for you?
Ms. Madhu: Yes, definitely. When the students that I have taught go to college and
then they come back to visit the school or they get in touch with me via social media
and tell me how my teaching had an impact on them -- those are the moments that
touch me the most.
Pranay Saini: What are your plans for the future?
Ms. Madhu: My plans for the future? Well I do not have concrete plans for the future
but I think I would love to continue as a Service Learning coordinator -- that has
become my passion, and I would like to facilitate Service Learning more and more and
reach out to the community.
Pranay Saini: What's your proudest achievement?
Ms. Madhu: My proudest achievements are the Biryani Brothers - my two productions,
Pranay and Hriday Saini - ta-da!.
Pranay Saini: Obviously there's no bias here, but what's your favorite class in CISM?
Ms. Madhu: Class of 2023, of course!.
