On the NFL Path?
Four Phases of Your Career Management
1. Build your personal brand through social media outlets and
other opportunities
2. Develop Name, Image and Likeness marketing and
endorsement opportunities
3. Add a Financial Advisor to your team to both educate and
help manage your affairs
4. Finally, after your NCAA eligibility expires, you’ll want to hire
an NFL Players Association Certified Contract Advisor
(“Agent”) to guide you through your NFL career
Things to know about the NIL landscape…
What is this all about?
• You will be licensing (think “authorizing”) companies to use
your name, image or likeness (such as a silhouette or other
artistic rendition of you), for a period of time, in the marketing
of their business or product(s).
• In exchange, you will be compensated for that right.
Sometimes in money; other times in products, free usage, etc.
Things to know about the NIL landscape
