This Return to Play Guide is intended to provide our players and their
families with the current information needed to participate in the
safest possible return to team activities. Please keep in mind that
these are current guidelines only, so expect and be ready to roll with
changes to these rules, and new rules and limitations after Phase Two
concludes on July 11. Flexibility and patience will win the day.

• What Each Player Needs:
• His own personal Mask
• His own personal Water Bottle, clearly labeled with his name
• His own Sunscreen (NO sharing of sunscreen)
• Returned and signed Guardian/Parent Waiver of Liability Form
• A great attitude

If any player or coach is not in compliance with every item required in
this Return to Play Guide, he will be sent home immediately.

STAY HOME IF YOU FEEL SICK OR IF YOU HAVE ANY SYMPTOMS

• Follow the advice of your medical provider

• Students or coaches with symptoms will not be allowed to participate and MUST be cleared by a medical
provider before returning to workout

• If at any given time an athlete/coach has tested positive for the Covid-19, all workouts will cease for a period
of at least five days

SYMPTOM AWARENESS

(Unrelated to existing conditions, i.e., asthma, workout-soreness, normal workout fatigue, exertion, etc.)

• Fever or chills • New loss of taste or smell

• Cough • Sore throat

• Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing • Congestion or runny nose

• Fatigue • Nausea or vomiting

• Muscle or body aches • Diarrhea

JEFFCO SCHOOLS RECOMMENDED HYGIENE
It is important that during our phased return to workout plan that all
student-athletes and coaches practice good hygiene and follow
proper safety precautions:

• Wash hands with soap and water or use hand sanitizer
• Avoid touching your face
• Sneeze or cough into a tissue or inside your elbow
• Disinfect frequently used items and surfaces as much as possible.
• Students are encouraged to bring their own equipment.
• Appropriate football gloves should be used.

• (No sharing and gloves should be sanitized after each
session.)

• Clothing should be washed and sanitized after workout is
completed.

• Practice social distancing
• Do not share or use other individuals' equipment.
• Be honest on health questionnaires

FAQ

Who sets the rules we operate under?
• For general safer-at-home and social distancing rules, we operate under both State of Colorado and
Jefferson County laws, ordinances and public orders.
• Athletics return to play rules are set by Jeffco Athletics and CHSAA.

What is the Return To Play schedule?

• PHASE ONE
• June 22 – 27 is the first week we can get together as a team, and this week is limited to strength
and conditioning only. (More details on the following pages)

• PHASE TWO
• June 29 – July 11 is a limited gathering period, where helmets are allowed, and we can use footballs.
(More details on the following pages)

• PHASE THREE
• For allowable workouts after July 11, we will be provided updates by Jeffco and CHSAA prior to
that date and we’ll share that information once we have it

PHASE ONE

June 22 – 27  Limited to strength & conditioning only

• Days/Time: Monday – Wednesday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM

• Waiting Area: Players are to park and meet in the West parking lot and maintain
social distancing of 6 feet

• Workout Areas: We will be utilizing designated field space & indoor workout
rooms

• Temp Check: Coaches will be taking and recording each player’s temperature
prior to entry to the locker room or field area with a forehead scan thermometer
• any player or coach with a temperature of 100.4 and above will not be
allowed to participate and will be advised to self-quarantine and not have
continued fever for 3 days before being allowed to return

• Contact Tracing: A Health Questionnaire will be completed and coaches will be asking
each player if they have been in contact with anyone who has tested positive for
Covid-19 or who has symptoms of Covid-19 since they were last at school.
• any player or coach in recent contact with anyone described above will not be
allowed to participate and will be advised to self-quarantine and be symptom-free
for 3 days before being allowed to return

• Entry: Players will be divided into their workout groups and will wait to be escorted to the locker room or field area by a
coach; players are only allowed to enter/exit the school through the locker room

• Outside Rules: Maximum of 25 people per workout group; masks are optional

• Inside Rules: Maximum of 10 people per workout room; masks are required

• Rest Rooms: Players may only use the restrooms located in the locker room

• Water: Players are to bring their own water bottles and may use the filling station at the water fountain, but may not
drink directly from the water fountain

• Masks: Players must bring their own masks with them each day or they will be sent home

• Equipment: No field equipment, such as tackling dummies, wheels, sleds; No helmets; No footballs.

PHASE TWO

June 29 – July 11  Strength & Conditioning AND On-Field Drills

• Days/Time: Monday – Wednesday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM
