There is No Herd Immunity in 10%
Help Raise the NCVMA's Titer
Level.....PAC-CINATE!!!!
NCVMA PAC, that is!
Imagine - your titer level is 10%...How much protection does that offer against threatening diseases? Not
a heckuva lot. That's why it is important to maintain a high titer level.
Reality: 10% of the NCVMA's 2765 members contribute to NCVMA PAC (Political Advocacy Contribution).
Just as with titer levels, THERE IS NO IMMUNITY IN 10%. That 10% is trying to protect 100% of
veterinarians, not just the 10% who contribute. Hmmm....Those odds for success aren't so hot, are they?
Let's raise NCVMA's titer level and PAC-CINATE for success!
Each year, more and more issues arise that can impact how veterinary medicine is delivered, WHO can
deliver services, and under what circumstances/guidelines. Legislators have to consider and vote on these
issues. PAC enhances our success of speaking with a legislator in a timely manner regarding our
concerns.
PAC-CINATING is easy. Payment may be made by personal check payable to: NCVMA PAC and
mailed to the NCVMA at 1611 Jones Franklin Rd., Ste. 108, Raleigh, NC 27606. No corporate checks,
per NC Ethics Law. OR, via credit card (either on your pledge card or call the office). OR online
through the NCVMA website, www.ncvma.org (at middle and bottom of page). OR call the NCVMA office,
919-851-5850. NC law prohibits using dues income/association revenue for campaign
contributions.
Fret not - NCVMA PAC does not pay lobbyists, buy gifts, trips, dinners, or votes. Not only are those
common misconceptions, but they are also illegal and NOT how your NCVMA operates politically.
So c'mon! Help the NCVMA raise its titer level by getting your PAC-CINATION today! The health of your
profession depends on it. Ignore your profession and it will go away.
THE ONLY PARTY NCVMA PAC SUPPORTS IS THE VETERINARY PARTY,
WHERE EVERY VETERINARIAN IS A MEMBER!
IF YOU HAVE ALREADY PAC-CINATED FOR 2021-2022, THANK YOU!

“Hydrocodone 5mg/Homatropine 1.5mg/5mL.” The second
common mistake involves failing to keep in mind that the
strength is measured per 5 mL. It is quite easy to overlook
this slight detail while calculating the dose for a particular
patient, as some veterinarians assume that the product is
5mg of hydrocodone/1.5 homatropine per 1 mL. As a
result, we receive a number of hydrocodone prescriptions
that are significantly under‐dosed due to this common
miscalculation.
The DEA Pharmacist Manual as well as the North Carolina
Board of Pharmacy (NCBOP) webpage are both great
resources to reference for any further questions or
concerns regarding controlled substances.
