From the North: I-95 or Florida Turnpike South
♦ Exit I-595 East to US 1 North / Federal Hwy
♦ Turn right onto SE 17th Street Causeway
♦ Turn right onto Eisenhower Blvd
♦ U-turn and take first right which leads to loading dock

SURROUNDING SECURITY

1. Perimeter Security:
The Greater Fort Lauderdale/ Broward County Convention Center is located at the northern end of Port
Everglades, the world’s second largest cruise port. Broward Sheriff’s Office security checkpoints exist at
all entrances to Port Everglades. Contact the Event Coordinator for further details.

2. There are three access entrances to the Broward County Convention Center. Broward Sherriff’s Office
(BSO) staffs each entrances.
A. 595 / Eller Drive
B. Spangler Road / State Road 84
C. Eisenhower Blvd (via SE 17th Street)

3. Hours of operation:
A. 595 / Eller Drive ………………………….... 5am – 9pm
B. Spangler Road /State Road 84 ……………. 24hrs
C. Eisenhower Blvd …………………………….. 5am – 9pm

4. Any personnel working, exhibiting, visiting, or attending an event is required to present government
issued photo identification at all check point access. Access will be denied if a photo identification is
not available.

5. For decorator(s) or subcontractors with semi trucks:
A. Access 595 / Eller Drive or Spangler Road / State Road 84
B. Government issued photo identification is required
C. Bill of lading is required for delivery
D. Anticipate random check of vehicles

6. For attendees:
A. Main entrance is Eisenhower Blvd (via 17th Street.) and/or Spangler / State Road 84
B. Proof of government issued photo identification is required
C. If event extends or starts around 9pm, contact the Event Coordinator to extend the hours of
operations on Eisenhower Blvd checkpoint.
D. Contact Event Coordinator in advance for specific details.

7. The above conditions are subject to change upon “The Port Everglades” and “Broward Sheriff’s Office”
security requirements. The Broward County Convention Center will work with all parties to ensure a
successful operation and event. Contact Event Coordinator for details.
