2017 National Click It or Ticket &
Border to Border Event

May 22nd through June 5th, 2017, marked this year’s
National Click It or Ticket campaign. Florida kicked
off the National Click It or Ticket campaign with a 4
hour “Border to Border” national enforcement opera-
tion on May 22nd from 4pm – 8pm, where law en-
forcement from South Florida to the Canadian bor-
der participated.
Once again, Florida had the most agencies partici-
pating and reporting for the Border to Border en-
forcement operation, with 114 Florida municipal,
county, and state law enforcement agencies taking
part in this year’s event.
Reporting for the National Click It or Ticket Cam-
paign will remain open through June 30, 2017 at
www.floridalel.org. Contact your District LEL for more
information

During the
National Click It or
Ticket Campaign, the
Florida LEL program
asked our law en-
forcement partners
to generate earned
media through mes-
sage boards, signs,
social media, and
marquees. This year
also saw the emer-
gence of the
#seatbeltselfie. Here
are some of the pho-
tos we received.

Impaired Driving
Enforcement Campaigns

Holidays in Florida should be a time for cele-
bration and relaxation, however due to alco-
hol impaired driving crashes they are some of
the deadliest times for our roadways.

During these Holiday periods local law en-
forcement will be directing additional efforts
toward impaired driving through education,
enforcement, and saturation patrols, as well
as check points all over Florida.
