Academic & Career Planning

Students begin exploring careers and future opportuni es as early as elementary!
From classroom speakers, community business tours, college, military and job fairs,
to online program ac vi es, students get many opportuni es to explore!

In order for students to get a chance for academic and career planning in grades 6-12,
one great tool is an online program called Xello. Within this program, students complete
different lessons throughout the year that guide their academic and career explora on.
Some examples of lessons they may complete are as follows:

Grades 6-8:

Interests Decision Making Time Management Jobs & Employers

Skills Explore Career Matches Transi on to High School Self-Advocacy

Grades 9-12: Exploring Career Factors Ge ng Experience Study Skills & Habits
Personality Styles Careers & Lifestyle Costs Career Path Choices Work/Life Balance
Work Values Workplace Skills & A tudes
Career Demand

Every year, students in grades 6-12 are required to complete the
ac vi es assigned to them in Xello. If you have any ques ons about
your student or want to see what Xello is about, contact Mrs. Jacklyn
Odgren at [email protected] or 715-472-2152 ext. 115.

Luck School Appreciates
the Eugene Wynn, Jr.
Memorial Learning Dock

An unfortunate event ended the life of a
Luck graduate, yet his family, friends, and
many others have created a las ng tribute
to honor and remember him.

On the memorial plaque, a friend gave
tribute to Eugene Wynn, Jr. It reads:

Eugene graduated from Luck High School in 1994. He was a tremendous athlete
who loved playing baseball, basketball, and football. He also spent much of his
free me outdoors. Whether it was fishing, hun ng, or camping he was always
up for an adventure. Gene was most happy sharing these experiences with his
children, family, and friends.

Gene’s love for the outdoors inspired him to become a conserva on officer.
On April 20, 2019 he passed away in the line of duty while trying to help others.
Eugene is deeply missed by his wife, daughter, son, and parents along with all of
us who were lucky enough to have known him.

With the help of the community we are able to honor him with this learning dock.
May you enjoy this space as much as Gene would have.
