Our administrators completed their thoughts to these sentences…
The best part of my job is all the children I have the privilege of working with every
single day. I have been in education since 1974. I was a teacher for seventeen years before
I even thought of becoming an administrator. I have worked with students from High
School down to Early Childhood and have to say my favorite ages to work with are the
elementary students. It is so much fun to talk to them and see them grow from one year to
the next. I make time to spend with the students every day on the playground and in the
lunchroom. I love sharing my favorite children’s stories and reading in each of the
classrooms every month. It is remarkable to see the light bulb go on when a child first
learns to read or that excitement when numbers finally make sense. I marvel at how they
problem solve the social parts of the day and the empathy and caring they show to their
classmates. Children are our future and they are worth every moment of time we spend
with them and every penny we invest in them. Mrs. Ann Goldbach
___________________________________________________Principal – Grades K-6
The strength of the Luck School District lies in the bond between the school and
community. You know a school is alive and well when there are events taking place here
almost seven days a week. One of the best parts of working and living in a small town is
the community being part of the school and the school being part of the community. They
are attached like the two rails of a train track by an infinite number of ties between them.
One of those is Community Education – within this newsletter you will find countless ways
to learn new things and be part of this incredible place we call Luck! Mr. Brad Werner
__________________________________________________ Principal – Grades 7-12
I’ve been privileged to work as your Superintendent these past 15 years.
Together, and only together, we’ve gotten a lot done and should be proud of our accom-
plishments. 3 successful referendums; 2 for building renovations and upgrades, and 1 for
operating costs and to keep the latest technology in the hands of our students. New play-
ground, new football bleachers, new baseball field, many improvements to all outside
facilities, new gym floor and ceiling, and the list goes on and on. And doesn’t the Commons
area look so much better without orange carpet and gym lockers in it! Most of all, we’ve
accomplished great improvements in curriculum, class offerings, and access to college level
courses. Last but not least are the so many wonderful people, and so many opportunities
to hire more dedicated professionals who give your children the best they have every day.
It’s the people I will remember most and treasure always. Mr. Rick Palmer
