Noun

1. คำนำมนับได้ (Countable Noun) 2. คำนำมนับไมไ่ ด้ (Uncountable Noun)

- หมายถงึ สง่ิ ทส่ี ามารถนบั เป็น ชน้ิ อนั ตวั ได้ - หมายถงึ สง่ิ ทไ่ี มส่ ามารถนบั นบั ใหเ้ ป็นชน้ิ อนั
- เชน่ cat, woman, pencil, child ตวั ได้ หรอื ยากทจ่ี ะนบั
- สามารถทาใหเ้ ป็นรูปพหพู จน์ได้ - เชน่ milk, ham, rice, butter
- ไม่มรี ูปพหูพจน์ เป็นเอกพจน์เสมอ
- cat – cats , woman – women, - ไมส่ ามารถใส่ a, an หรอื ตวั เลขนาหน้าคานาม
- pen – pens, child – children นนั้ ได้
- ใส่ a, an หรอื ตวั เลขขา้ งหน้าคานามได้ - I have rice.
เชน่ I have a cat. , My mother has four cats. - I drink milk.

There isn’t a/an……… There isn’t any / much ………..

กำรทำนำมเอกพจน์ให้เป็นพหพู จน์ 1. ของเหลว/ ครมี (Liquid & Creamy Substances)
เชน่ juice, water , milk, coffee, tea, lemonade, jam,
1. ปกติแล้วหำกจะทำนำมเอกพจน์ให้เป็นพหพู จน์เรำจะเติม rain, snow, honey, oil, ice cream ,etc.

s หลงั คำนำมนัน้ ไดเ้ ลย และออกเสียงเป็น /s/ , /z/ เช่น apple- 2. วตั ถุ (materials) เชน่ wood, glass, plastic, stone, silver,
paper, gold, ice, cotton, etc.

3. สสำรแปรรปู (Substances) เชน่ rice, flour, sugar, soil, salt,
pen – pens eraser – erasers pepper, powder, sand. grass, chalk, etc.

2. คำนำมที่ลงท้ำยด้วย x, s, ss, se , sh , ch, 4. Gasses เชน่ air, smog, steam, oxygen, fog, etc.
ze, ge, to ให้เติม es ออกเสียงเป็น /iz/ เช่น

box – boxes bus – busses
glass – glasses house – houses
dish – dishes size – sizes

3. vowel + y  ys ออกเสียงเป็น /z/ เช่น 5. Abstract เชน่ love, music, art, power, weather, etc.

meat, pork, cake, etc.
4. consonant + y  ies ออกเสียงเป็น /z/ เชน่

5. f / fe  ves ออกเสียงเป็น /z/ เช่น กำรทำให้นำมนับไม่ได้ให้เป็นนำมนับได้ คอื การหาภาชนะมา
