INVENTOR AND CEO OF GLORYFY

Eight years ago the first gloryfy unbreakable was
born. This milestone was the result of seven years of
research and process development. Both the material
and the production process were completely new territory
in the world of eyewear. We were (and still are) the first
with this technology and therefore we had to find solutions
for all problems ourselves, without being able to fall back
on the knowledge of others. In 2011 we went into serial
production for the first time, with a small sports glasses
collection - produced in our former production facility, a
rustic factory in Mayrhofen.

Today we are out of our infancy and last summer we
bundled the three locations in the new headquarters in
Schlitters. After thousands and thousands of cartons and
aching muscles, our team completed the move at the end
of August. 3,500 m² area with all gloryfy unbreakable
departments under one roof. Shorter distances, improved
internal communication and above all, plenty of space to
expand production and promote the internationalisation
of our eyewear brand.

Our collection has also grown rapidly and in 2020 we
will be able to offer the roundest gloryfy collection in
our still young company history. In all our lines (SPORT,
LIFESTYLE, OPTICS and GOGGLES) one highlight
follows the next - many new eyewear shapes and colour
variations are waiting to be discovered and I wish all
readers of our magazine a great time!

and it was fascinating to be part of every step of the

Actually Daniel Luger, Roland Wagner and Walter Molt
wanted to supply bands with merchandise-material (for
example legendary acts like Einstürzende Neubauten)
- that was the intention behind the company W.A.R.D.
Productions founded in 1990. Four years later they
decided to design and produce band-independent shirts
- the birth of iriedaily. The founders were joined by
street artist Jaybo Monk as Art Director, whose unique
handwriting had a significant influence on the appearance
of the brand over the years. In the beginning, inking and
printing took place in the company's own printing factory
in Kreuzberg. Gradually, more and more extensive
collections were created. The demand is so great that
by the end of the 90s the company's own print facility
becomes too small - production is relocated to Portugal.

From the beginning iriedaily has been a label that is
very close to the music and art scene. Punk and reggae
shape the brand, as well as Berlin's streets, art, extreme
sports and various other subcultures. This also includes
the promotion of local projects such as the local football
club Hansa 07 or the refugee aid initiative, as well as the
support of supraregional anti-racist projects.

The 34-year-old mountain guide and extreme climber
from South Tyrol grows up close to the most beautiful
peaks in Italy. At the beginning there is nothing that
suggests that mountains should become Simon's
purpose in life. His way leads him to the carpenter's
workshop and so he is already 18 years old when
the mountain fever grips him and won't let him go.
"After 3 years in the vertical world, I realized that
carpentry was my profession, but not my passion,"
says Simon about himself.

During his education and training as a mountain guide
Simon delivers bread rolls for a bakery. His working
day begins at 4:30 a.m. and usually the bread rolls are
distributed faster than necessary. The time to pursue his
passion becomes a decisive element.

The year 2009 is a milestone for Simon's career as
an alpine sportsman. His expedition to Fitz Roy, the
3,406-metre-high granite mountain in the Argentinian-
Chilean Andes, paves the way for him to pursue his
passion for climbing professionally. Since then, the South
Tyrolean climber has regularly been found on the most
challenging walls around the globe. He has received
several awards for his own climbing style, including the
prestigious "Grignetta d'Oro" prize as an Italian alpinist
in 2016.

He manages a particularly difficult balancing act: Simon is
not only an outstanding mountaineer, he is also a father
of a family. Simon has been living in Luttach in the Ahrntal
Valley for more than ten years now, with Sandra, his
partner, and his two little sons Iano and Iari. For Simon,
being a father and still being on the toughest walls in the
world, climbing routes that no one has climbed before, is
not a contradiction in terms. "Mountaineering is not only
my greatest passion, it has also shown me what is most
important in my life: during bivouac nights in the wall I
don't think about my successful tours, I think about my
family just before falling asleep," says Simon.

Imagine it's a racing bike world championship
and an 18-year-old rider who's been unknown in the
racing bike scene for 18 years, grabs the Junior
World Champion title.

"It's unbelievable! I actually come from mountain biking
and just wanted to have fun there, that it would win
the world championship title at the end I wouldn't have
thought!" Laura Stigger from Tiroler Haiming is actually
on her mountain bike at home.

Back to the beginning: At the tender age of seven, the
neighboring boys made mountain biking tempting for
her and 13 years later Laura is one of the best in her
age group worldwide and dominates the Junior World
Series. In 2017 she won everything she could win
(World Championships, European Championships,
Junior World Cup and all races of the season). In 2018
she didn't give the competition a chance and won the
European Championships and the World Championships.
2019 follows silver at the U23 Mountainbike World
Championships, silver at the European Championships
and silver in the overall World Cup.

"The world championship title at the Road World
Championship was unbelievable. But now I'm only
focusing on mountain biking," explains Stigger, who
has a big vision. "Participating at the Olympic Games
2020 in Tokyo is my big goal".
