Team, I am very excited about a special edition within our
LIFESTYLE collection. Nobody less than one of Germany‘s

The fact that all this began with a small idea which I had
in 2004 – which then became reality in 2011 – gives me
goosebumps. Our production facility continues to be in
Austria, right in my home town. For a company with a
globally-unique product with a highly-complex technical
background, it is definitely extraordinary to produce in
Tyrol – to be more exact, in the Zillertal.

But that’s enough for now. I wish the entire gloryfy family

What was the experience of winning two titles like?
After the first title, I couldn't really chill and go and
celebrate as I knew that the next competition was just two
days away. So I just went out with a few friends and my
girlfriend to celebrate a bit, but very much in moderation.
Things were very different after the second title win ... I
really celebrated then!

Where is the journey heading after this incredible
season?
The next goal for me is very clear: the Olympics 2020 in
Tokyo! This will be the first time climbing is part of the
Olympics and of course I want to be among the front
runners, so I have to do well in the 2019 qualifying events!
Before that I'm looking forward to a few climbing trips to
warmer climes to tackle different projects on the rock.

Now for the most important question: as a double
world champion, do you have twice as many groupies
in the climbing world?
(Ed.: Jakob laughs out loud) No, you can't say that. I'm
happily taken. I'd already won several titles in the past
at World Championships and World Cup competitions
and have been a household name on the scene for quite
some time. But it's definitely the case that since the huge
media presence due to the two world championship titles
at the World Championships in Innsbruck, more people
recognise me now than before, whether it's on the road
or travelling in climbing areas all over the world. My
