1.0 Introduction

Many interpretations and definitions are explaining bullying behavior. Interpretations of
bullying misconduct are interpreted from various angles. The more angles are used to interpret bullying,
the broader and deeper the interpretation of bullying will become. In general, bullying behavior is
interpreted as behavior committed by a person by abusing another person. Naturally, people who are
abused are weaker than those who are abused. The purpose of this bullying behavior is to show the
bully is more powerful and make the victim harm either physically or psychologically. Bullying is
misconduct committed consciously whether of a physical or psychological nature on a weaker victim
intended to cause physical or psychological harm. This treatment is done repeatedly until the bully feels
happy and satisfied. Bullies are those who commit bullying behavior to the victim of bullying. Bullies
are those who commit bullying behavior to the victim of bullying.

Naturally, bullies are those who have the nature of being stronger, more powerful and more
capable of committing bullying behaviour. This strength can usually be demonstrated whether it is
individually or in groups. Those who fall victim to the bully are those who are weaker and unable to
match the strength and power of the bully. These weaknesses include weakness from physical and other
aspects. Victims of bullying are also fearful and unable to complain to their friends, teachers or parents.
Usually, the victims of bullying are made up of them alone. The purpose of bullying is that these bullies
show that they are stronger than the victim. Bullies also feel satisfied when they bully others. The more
the victim fears the higher the degree of satisfaction felt by the bully. Other than that, the purpose of
bullying behavior is to make the weak compliant and respectful of the bully. To make the situation
happen as expected by the bully, the bully will injure the victim either physically or psychologically.
The effect that will be felt by the victim is injury, fear and discomfort and calm. The effect for the bully
is that the bully will feel more powerful and feel satisfied when he sees the victim of bullying fear and
acquiesce to the strength and power of the bully. Bullying behavior that stems from various factors such
as biological and behavioral factors, the influence of family, peers and the environment has caused this
problem to continue to be prevalent among students, especially high school students. At this age, they
are experiencing an identity crisis that is finding their own identity to deal with family, peers and the
surrounding community. As such, students still raw in this life are often influenced by an environment
that will divert them from the true path, in turn engaging with the symptoms of this bullying behavior.

Acording to research summary from U.S. Department Of Health And Human Services (2018) stated
that prevent bulling through moral engagement create an individual’s standards behaviour for children
or young people what is and not acceptable to do. The individual moral can be shaped the action and
trusted of people in their family, religious groups, culture and in scholl etc. For the example, a student
socially kind may be less susceptible to bullying because of positive social interactions. Moral
engagement can created the individuals value and express sympathy and behave positively social
relationships. A morally engagement includes students, teachers, caunselors, educator, parents etc are
impotants to create individuls social behaviour. There are two ways in preventing bullying in school:

adresssed

The issue of bullying among teenagers has never diminished, even more worrying many parties.
Although various guidelines, warnings and advice were gathered through the mass media, the solution
to these social symptoms is still vague. The victims consisted of children and teenagers at school taking
steps to remain silent without informing anyone. Here are five facts that everyone needs to know about
bullying (Gordon, 2021).

i. fear of retaliation
ii. concern about escalating the problem
iii. a desire for acceptance
iv. fear of being believed
v. fear of snitching

There are also different types of bullying taking place between children at school. In this situation,
parents have to be aware their children are being bullied. According to Dryden-Edwards (2019) from
a medical website that provides detailed information about diseases, conditions, medications, and
general health listed the

 Physical bullying - hitting, kicking, pinching, pushing, or otherwise attacking others.
 Verbal bullying- use of words to harm others with name-calling, insults, making sexual or

bigoted comments, harsh teasing, taunting, mimicking, or verbal threats.
 Relational bullying - excluding someone from a peer group, usually through verbal threats,

spreading rumors, and other forms of intimidation.
 Reactive bullying - bully responding to being a former victim by picking on others.
 Involve an assault on a person's property - the victim has his or her personal property taken or

damaged.

3.0 Recommendations

Generally, family relationships reshape children's expectations about how relationships should feel,
what makes relationships work well, and how to constructively manage relationship problems.
Parenting style offers a high level of warmth, love, and closeness while also setting clear limits and
high expectations and providing the support needed to meet those expectations. According to Divecha,
(2019) suggests how might parents limit their child's chance of being bullied as below.

 Use an authoritative parenting style - offers a high degree of warmth, love, and closeness
 Nurture a positive family climate - the family climate is the “felt sense” of being in a

relationship with other family members and working together in the home
 Teach emotional and interpersonal skills - Parents can incorporate conversations about

interpersonal relationships while reading storybooks or observing everyday interactions, even
with very young children
 Cultivate relationships with school personnel and other parents - establish a pathway of
communication, along with trust and a belief in each other’s good intentions, should difficulties
arise.

4.0 Conclusions

As a result, all parties need to play a role in overcoming this problem. If examined transparently, the
root cause of bullying occurs because of the human attitude itself which lacks religion and love from
parents. In addition, the influence of peers is also the cause of this issue that is difficult to resolve. The
influence of mass media and school practices and policies are loose is also the reason why this issue
continues to be rampant.

This problem needs to be eradicated because bullying will have a detrimental effect especially on
individuals involved with bullying. Among the effects are that the victim will lose self-confidence,
emotional stress as well as long -term and short-term injuries. Apart from that, the effect for the bully
is to cultivate the attitude of gangsterism in the bully himself.

Therefore, all parties need to play a role in overcoming this problem. Among them, giving more
authority to the authorities to deal with this problem of bullying. For example teachers, police and so
on. In addition, awareness campaigns on the dangers of bullying should also be emphasized. In addition,
the role of parents in observing their children also needs to be given attention.
