1.0  Welcome Speech by the 10th Annual General Meeting Chairperson   
 
Mdm.  Rusidah  was  elected  as  the  chairperson  for  the  meeting.  She  welcomed  and  Information 

thanked all the members for attending the meeting.    

2.0  Appointement of Person to note the AGM minutes   

  Mr. Ooi Ghee Chien was elected to note down the minutes of the meeting and it was  Information 
 
agreed upon by all members.

Review of the 9th AGM Minutes   

  The  9th  AGM  meeting  minutes  were  reviewed  and  discussed.  The  meeting  minutes  Information

were  proposed  to  be  accepted  by  Mr  Saravana  and  seconded  by  Dr  Chandramalar.   

The 9th AGM minutes (as attached in Appendix 2) was accepted by all members. 

 

Speech by the President, Session 2019‐2021   

  The president, Dr. Chandramalar thanked the MACTB committee 2019‐2021 for their  Information 
5.0  full commitment and contribution. She also thanked the committee and members for   
their contribution that manage to organize and attend some of the events/ workshop 
even though we are restricted by pandemic COVID‐19. 
 
She  hopes  that  MACTB  can  continue  to  assist  MOH  and  the  country  to  facilitate  the 
development of Cell and Tissue Banking and other related activities in the future. She 
hopes  all  committee  and  member  can  continue  to  give  their  full  commitment  and 
contribution for its success. 

Secretary’s Report of 2019‐2020   

  The  report  was  prepared  and  presented  by  Mdm.  Rusidah  as  the  Secretary.  The  Information 
Secretary’s Report 2019‐2020 (as attached in Appendix 3) was accepted.  

6.0  Treasurer’s Report of Accounts ending 20 July 2020   

  The  report  was  prepared  and  presented  by  the  Treasurer,  Mr  Saravana  The  Information

8.0  Matters Arising

  8.1 Maintenance of the Website Hosting   

Agree to continue to maintain the Website Hosting Subscription annually. To arrange 

payment for the maintenance and hosting of the website. 

 

8.2 Change of CIMB Bank signatories for MACTB 

 

Members of the AGM agreed the bank signatories have to be changed to the newly 

appointed President, Secretary and Treasurer session 2019‐2021. Since the lockdown 

it might take 2‐3 weeks to get the signatories transfer done. 

 

8.3 Other issue 

 

1) MACTB had purchased “Standards for Tissue Banking (2nd Edition)” by Asia 

Pacific Association of Surgical Tissue Banking (APASTB). 

‐ Sponsored and distributed to 8 different local institute  

o Bank Mata (Hospital Sungai Buloh) 

o Bank Tisu (Universiti Sains Malaysia) 

o Bone Bank (University Malaya Medical Centre) 

o CryoCord Sdn. Bhd. 

o Pusat Sumber Transplan Nasional

‐ Total  cost  for  the  purchasing,  RM  1800.  Treasure  to  will  arrange  the 

payment. 

 

2) Some of the propose activities for this coming year:  

a) To organize Webinar in related Medical Device Act. 

o Date to be confirm once we get confirmation letter from Medical 

Device authority in related to human graft. 

o Propose Prof Dr. Suzina to give the talk. 

o The webinar will be organized by Dr  Norimah and Mr Saravana. 

 

b) “The  18th  International  Virtual  Conference  of  Asia  Pacific  Association  of 

Surgical Tissue Bank 2021” to be held on 19th to 21st March 2021 

o Encourage  member  to  submit  their  abstract  (Deadline:  31st 

October 2021) and to join the conference. 

o Registration fees USD 125. 

 

c) Propose to have virtual symposium pertaining Tissue Workshop. 

o If  cannot  be  done  on  site,  it  will  be  done  through  video 

procurement . 

o If we can organize certain course next year (2021), NTRC will try 

to put in budget proposal to KKM participants sponsorship.
