MR. SOM PAL Assistant Commissioner Mr. Anurag Yadav visited library during panel
inspection. He also had a look of Open Library Project maintained by the

co-operation given by the KV Kanpur Cantt. family.

Mr. Som Pal joined K. V. Kanpur cantt. as Principal on 25.09.2019 and
LIBRARIAN was given a warm welcome by the students and staff in morning
assembly. Teachers assured him to take the school to new heights under
his guidance. He was formally welcomed by Mr. Amod Kumar Jha, Vice -

These various activities throughout
the month not only inculcate reading habits
but also brings out other skills of a child. It
develops writing skills and even the sense of
using the book.

We are thankful to the teacher for being given
the chance of editing the issue.

EXHIBITION ON GANDHI JAYANTI

Parvati VIII B India is celebrating 150th birth anniversary
August 2019 of Mahatma Gandhi. On this occasion a
series of activities are being organised by
the school. On !st October an exhibition
was organized in the library on Gandhi ji. It
was collaborated with art dept. The exibits
of drawing and painting were also kept with
the books available in the library on the
subject “GANDHI”

Mahi Tripathi VII B . Exhibition was inaugurated by Mr. Som Pal, Principal on 01/10/2019.
September 2019 Mr. Amod Kumar Jha, vice Principal and Mr.Prashant Sahu were present
there.

Green Day was celebrated on 11/04/2019 with a
new name “Pustkophar” defining its name. In this
activity students gifted their old text books to the
junior ones. Total 1220 books were gifted by 201
students . This initiative not only helped the
needy but has also developed sense of
„fraternity‟ and is a step towards protecting the
environment.

Certificate distribution was done on 05/10/2019.

The only important thing in a book is the meaning that it
has for you.

BOOK EXHIBITION AND FAIR

During Hindi Pakhwara, A Book Exhibition-cum-fair was organized on
28th September 2019 through external agency, National Book House Kanpur. It was
inaugurated by Mr. Som Pal, Principal K.V. Kanpur Cantt.
Students enjoyed this exhibition and noted new books in their diaries . Mr. Amod
Kumar Jha, Vice Principal and Worthy teachers Mr. H.N. Dubey, , Mr. V.P. Pandey,
Mr. Birendra Pal, Mr. Padam Pandey, Mr. Chandan and Mrs. Shweta Dwivedi graced
the occasion with their presence.

READING DAY & READING MONTH CELEBRATION REPORT

Reading month celebration started with the oath taken by students and teachers
together on 19.06.2019.The date wise schedule was displayed on display board and an-
nouncement regarding the same had been done in morning assembly. Events conducted
according to the decided schedule. Students and teachers enjoyed the activities and par-
ticipated with full enthusiasm. Reading month programme was ended with an Book Ex-
hibition for two days, which was fully organised by readers’ club members. The main
motto of this celebration was to inculcate reading habit among children and to motivate
them to read books.
