Rule 1:
• A possessive adjective goes together with a noun.

Example: Those are their presents.

Possessive adjectives & possessive pronouns are used TO SHOW OWNERSHIP/RELATIONSHIP

Possesive pronoun for I is MINE, not mines.

Rule 2:
• We do not use ONE after a possessive adjective.

Example: This parcel is hers.

This parcel is her one.

Rule 3:
• We use a possessive pronoun so that we don’t repeat a noun.

Example: yours

Rule 4:
• We don’t use an apostrophe ( ‘ ) with a possessive adjective or a possessive pronoun.
