PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE
elcome to TPIS. As principal I warmly welcome you to the first
edition of TPIS Matters. It is our newsletter that we will send
out to the families of TPIS. Here you will see the events, and all
of the activities that the staff of TPIS are doing either online or face to
face.
I have been in the education field before graduating from university.
When I started my journey into education, I was teaching general
science, chemistry, biology and physics to students in high school back
in Australia. I fell in love with education and really enjoyed getting
students interested in the amazing field of science. Science is not just a
place for sitting and memorizing elements or, knows how to balance a
formula. It is about asking questions, and finding answers to those
questions.
Joshua Cave That is the passion and curiosity that I am bringing to TPIS. To
encourage the students to ask a question, and have the tools and
[email protected] knowledge to find the answer. It has been noted that teachers just
giving information, isn’t a good way for a student to learn. At TPIS we
give them a direction and the tools so they can take the steps to self-
discovery through the use of projects and competitions.
At TPIS we care not just about knowledge, but also how to live and grow, finding each student’s strengths,
and interests. Helping them develop their skills both in academics, but also in a social and community sense.
TPIS is about the community and family, so lessons here focus on those foundational pillars.
We do this through getting the students involved with the local community, community service, and
knowledge about preserving the protected area that TPIS is a part of with the local scout troop, and working
with guests that come to teach all about how to live and work together in this century.
Students will learn those skills from experienced teachers, business owners, community leaders, families,
and even visiting experts. TPIS provides all the equipment needed so a family will be ready for life after high
school, to have the experience to enter university or the work force, and be a part of the world community.
Following the US common and next generation core standards, TPIS has the knowledge, skills, experience
and the care for the students and families of TPIS. TPIS encourages parents and families in the community to
be actively involved with TPIS, for events, and any competitions that the students are a part of.
Education is not just done at a school, but in the entire community.
“Stay healthy and stay curious. Don’t just ask why something works, ask how does it work”

HEADTEACHER TPIS HEADTEACHER
It is a privilege for me to welcome you to TEMPLER PARK SADAOUI SAFI
INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL Matters in its first edition, as I begin my ARRAHMANE
first school year as Headteacher at TPIS. I am energized and
deeply committed to making a positive difference in the lives of
your children.
I have been dedicated to the field of education for many years
with a specific concentration in literacy development, the
teaching of writing, enrichment opportunities for children and
make them true leaders. This leadership is what I am bringing to
TPIS, to not only encourage the acquisition of content, but the
achievement of competences, with the aim of providing the
students with resources and learning tools that prepare them for
a professional future in a globalized and changing world, in which
personal skills such as analytical skills, communication skills, or
faculties such as resilience and decision making are valued
increasingly.
I am pleased to share a few of the exciting and outstanding things
to come at TPIS. We will continue to offer a variety of academic
and performance options including the Science, Technology,
Engineering and Mathematics Program, and new this year is
Project Based Learning, an innovative engineering curriculum. We
also welcome the addition of musical performances to our choral
program, adding to Fine Arts department.
“Education is a social process. Education is growth. Education is,
not a preparation for life; education is life itself “
“Stay safe, have fun, and keep learning”.

FROM THE DESK
Teacher Mr. Wong
As senior Mandarin Teacher and being an educator and linguist for the past decades, I am sure
I can bring vast improvement to the students in terms of moral values apart from quality
academic pursuits. My role is to share and impart my knowledge to the students, particularly
about the Chinese culture and to teach these students especially for non-Chinese learners how
read, write and speak well.
As teacher for non-Chinese learners in Mandarin, listening skills and memorizing the correct
pronunciation of ‘hanzi’ (Chinese characters) is a basic requirement. For Chinese learners, things become easier as they
have the learning environment at home, particularly in Mandarin speaking families.
As far as possible, students should always stay home and involved in online lessons rather than returning to respective
schools, even if the pandemic tension eases a little. The SOP and frequent washing of hands with soap and water and
the wearing of proper surgical masks should always be complied. Let’s hope the current Covid-19 pandemic would go
away as soon as possible and we should indeed learn to take this opportunity to feel grateful and cherish what we have
during these trying times.
“When the going gets tough, the tough gets going!”
Waste not, want not; cherish what we have and make the world a better place to live in.
Teacher Mdm. Renuka
Dear TPIS students and parents,
I hope this note reaches you while you are safe and in good health. During this pandemic season
Teaching and learning continued in the new norm whether it is at school or home. However, as an
ICT Teacher with vast experience in teaching for more than 15 years, teaching and learning
continued as best as possible by preparing TPIS students with knowledge and equipping them
with relevant skills so that TPIS students will be technology savvy, embedded with critical thinking
and creativity.
As a ICT subject Teacher, my advice to all TPIS students is to keep learning, get updated on the latest technology and
keep practicing. Whatever lessons that is learned, do explore, learn and apply those new skills.
It has been a challenging year, I wish everyone stay safe don’t forgot SOP always washing of hand with soap or sanitizer
and wear mask. Let’s hope pandemic covid-10 would go away soon as possible.
