Asia
Asia provides such a degree of variety and contrast that it
would arguably take many lifetimes to experience all that
it has to offer. Above all, Asia is a spiritual place and home
to the teachings of Buddhism and Hinduism. Ancient
wonders and sacred spaces abound, from the grandeur of
the Great Wall of China to the temples of Angkor Wat and
to the many lesser-known marvels in Myanmar, Indonesia
and Vietnam.

MyanYmaarn-gon
Yangon
We are delighted that Myanmar (formerly known as Burma) is welcoming visitors after
many years of international isolation and excited to be featuring them in this brochure.
The country borders India, Bangladesh, China, Laos and Thailand and is home to
more than one hundred ethnic groups. Yangon (formerly called Rangoon) is the
country’s largest city and home to bustling markets, numerous parks and lakes, and
the towering, gilded Shwedagon Pagoda, which contains Buddhist relics and dates
back to the sixth century. Now is the time to visit this extraordinary land, scattered with
gilded pagodas, where the traditional ways of Asia endure and where areas that were
previously off-limits are now opening up.

Governor’s Residence
The Belmond Governor’s Residence is a romantic, colonial-
style mansion dating from the 1920s, redolent of the days when
it was home to the ruler of Myanmar’s southern states. With its
fan-cooled verandas and teak armchairs, this delightful hotel is
set in the elegant embassy quarter of Yangon and conjures up
a bygone era, whilst at the same time offering every modern
pleasure you might wish for. Dinner is served alfresco in the
balmy evening air, lit by lantern light, as tropical fragrances
scent the breeze. With a full range of soothing treatments, The
Governor’s Oasis spa is a peaceful sanctuary in the heart of
the hotel where traditional organic ingredients are applied with
modern understanding to ensure an indulgent spa experience.

and Burmese borders. Separated by the banks of the mighty Mekong River, this region

experience of waving goodbye to modern civilisation as you meander through the
dense bamboo jungle into your new surroundings is reminiscent of a bygone era and

Tahiti-Tetiaroa
Tetiaroa
Beyond its breathtaking beauty, Tetiaroa in French Polynesia has a very
special place in Polynesian history and culture for it was the exclusive and
favoured retreat of Tahitian royalty for centuries. Ancient temples built on
the atoll by early Polynesians can still be found today. The 118 islands that
comprise Polynesia have high, rugged mountains, coral reefs, turquoise
lagoons and quintessential white sandy beaches with palm trees. At just
4.5 miles in diameter, Tetiaroa is covered in coconut trees, surrounded by
coral reef and home to the newly-opened eco-luxury resort, The Brando.

The Brando
The Brando is a unique and truly fabulous island resort located
on French Polynesia’s breathtakingly beautiful private island of
Tetiaroa, 30 miles northeast of Tahiti. It offers utterly carefree luxury
in the midst of pristine nature. With access to the island by private
plane, the resort has just 35 villas located on powdery white sandy
beaches, gently lapped by ocean waters that are frequented by sea
turtles, manta rays and exotic birds. The resort’s two restaurants
showcase Polynesian-inspired dishes, East/West fusion and
classic French cuisine, featuring the award-winning cooking of
Guy Martin from Michelin two star restaurant, Le Grand Véfour in
Paris. The resort is carbon neutral and close to self-sustainability; a
remarkable achievement in the world of luxury resorts.
Three Bedroom Villa
The stunning three bedroom villa offers superb accommodation
for large families and groups of friends and features two
bedrooms on the ground level with the third separated from
the main villa by a walkway. The latter has a dressing room,
bathroom and outdoor bathtub. The private outdoor space
includes an expansive deck and a tranquil private pool. The

Marrakech
Marrakech was a former imperial city in western Morocco and is now a major
economic centre and home to beautiful mosques, palaces and gardens. The
medina is a densely packed, walled medieval city dating back to the Berber
Empire, with maze-like alleys where thriving merchants sell traditional textiles,
pottery and jewellery. Food vendors line the Djemaa el-Fna, a broad square
where passionate storytellers and energetic musicians entertain passers-by
with their skills, alongside snake charmers and men carrying birds of prey.
