I am excited to acknowledge the amazing accomplishments of our students through
this Honors program. I am consistently amazed at the immense talent of our students.
Flipping through this program will give all who see it a small taste of why Cambridge is an
eliteschool.Students,youhavespent thisyeargrowing and learninginanunprecedented
time. Many of you spend hours in and out of the classroom to ensure you will make it
to this moment. Your invitation to this event is a testament to your diligence, tenacity,
and hard work. Your ability to excel is noticed and appreciated. Congratulations on your

Johns Hopkins University
This award is for the junior who best exhibits the qualities and characteristics that form the Johns
Hopkins ethic’s core: a demonstrated desire for intellectual and moral growth. An uncommon interest
in, and capacity for, independent and original scholarship.The strength of character necessary to
employ the results of their scholarship for the betterment of society. A student must plainly
exhibit all three of these characteristics to be granted the award.

Ohio State University
The Ohio State Book Award honors the junior class member who has demonstrated the highest level
of scholastic achievement in both mathematics and science. Eligible students must have excelled in
advanced-level science and mathematics courses.The winner should also exhibit positive character in

Phi Beta Kappa celebrates and advocates excellence in the liberal arts and sciences.

TheYale University Book Award recognizes a rising senior who demonstrates
exceptional intellectual ability, academic motivation and accomplishments,
and strong leadership skills outside of the classroom.

The Matthew LeMoyne Memorial Scholarship
This year, Cambridge High School has received a donation specified for a scholarship in memory
of Matthew LeMoyne.The Matthew LeMoyne Memorial Scholarship is a $500 one-time scholarship
presented to a senior interested in the medical or science field, has demonstrated academic
rigor, is involved in the community, and has maintained a GPA of 3.0 or higher
throughout his / her high school career.

National Merit Scholarship Finalists
From approximately 1.5 million students nationwide who entered the 2020 National Merit
Scholarship Program, only 15,000 were Finalists.To advance to this level, a student had to fulfill
several strenuous requirements that included submitting a detailed scholarship application
and presenting a record of very high academic performance.

National Merit Special Scholarship
National Merit ON Semiconductor Scholarship
National Merit Special/Corporate Scholarships are underwritten by many of the business
organizations that also provide Merit Scholarship® awards for students who qualify as Finalists
in the National Merit® Scholarship Program. ON Semiconductors is a corporate sponsor that awards
a fixed number of awards each year for students who meet their specified criteria, including children
of employees or residents of communities where the company has facilities.Winners of Special/
Corporate Scholarships are chosen based on their academic accomplishments from a pool of
candidates who fulfilled the sponsor’s criteria on the 2019 PSAT/NMSQT.

The Georgia Certificate of Merit is sponsored by the State of Georgia and the University of Georgia.
The Georgia Certificate of Merit is awarded in recognition of outstanding scholastic achievement

STAR Student Award and STAR Teacher Award
The STAR Student award is sponsored by PAGE, the Professional Association of Georgia Educators.
The Student andTeacher Achievement Recognition (STAR) program honors Georgia's highest
achieving high school seniors and the teachers who have been most instrumental in their academic
development.To obtain the STAR nomination, high school seniors must have the highest score on
any single test of the SAT taken through the March test date of their senior year
and be in the top 10 percent of their class.

excellence in academics, and meets the department’s individual selection criteria for being

Governor’s Honors Program Finalists
The Georgia Governor’s Honors Program (GHP) is a residential summer program sponsored by the
Governor’s Office of Student Achievement, where tuition, room, and board are covered for the selected
students.This prestigious and highly selective program requires a rigorous selection process at the
school, county, and state levels, including several rounds of interviews. Students compete with
applicants from all over Georgia to secure a spot in the program offered on a college or university
campus.The program provides instruction that is significantly different from the typical high school
classroom, and that is designed to provide students with academic, cultural, and social enrichment
necessary to become the next generation of global critical thinkers, innovators, and leaders.

Cambridge PTSA Scholarships
These scholarships recognize Cambridge seniors who have demonstrated exceptional character
through school and community involvement, including leadership and achievement in areas such
as academics, the arts, athletics, employment, and service to the community.The Class of 2020
Endowment Senior Scholarship awards two students through the Class of 2020 Legacy Project.The
PTSA Senior Scholarship awards fourteen students on behalf of the 2020-2021 PTSA.
