SAN CARLOS HIGH SCHOOL TUHSD LEARNING LABS

SAN CARLOS, AZ TEMPE, AZ

This 36,525 SF addition to San Carlos High School features a SPS+ oversaw a major improvement of Tempe Union’s energy
medical/health CTE classroom for the school’s state-certified infrastructure, including solar thermal water heating, natural
nursing assistant program, STEM classrooms, a technology gas heat pumps and fuel cells, solar panels, and other standard
lab, commercial culinary classrooms and a new life fitness improvements. A vital part of the project was a learning
center. Our team worked closely with the district to ensure component called ‘Living Laboratory,’ which provides students
that the building aesthetic matched the brand of San Carlos with the ability to collect and analyze data about the energy
USD. Site work for the project included parking lot addition, use at 7 of the district’s high schools. Creating environments
new access road, new site lighting, and remodeled play fields. that students can not only learn in but learn from is a powerful
tool we hope to apply to West-MEC.
