A warm welcome to our New CEO Mandla Shezi

We are delighted to announce that Mandla Shezi
has assumed office as RMA’s new Chief Executive
Officer on 1 July 2020, taking over from former
CEO Jay Singh, who has retired at the end of
June.

In his new position as CEO, Mandla will continue
to provide strategic and managerial leadership
jointly with the RMA Executive Team to execute
the company’s strategy and to work with all of us
to take RMA to the next level of growth and
development.

1. Who is RMA?

Founded on 1 June 1894, Rand Mutual Assurance (RMA) has over 120 years been
handling the administration of claims for occupational injuries and diseases
according to the Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act
(COIDA). Our clients are in safe hands with us, we are passionate about caring for
the lives of claimants and their families. Our organisation embodies its brand
promise of caring, compassionate, compensation at every level of the
organisation.
RMA has the License to administer claims for both,

The Rand Mutual Assurance Company Limited (RMA) is a mutual assurance
organisation which is owned by its policy holders. RMA operates in terms of
section 30 of the Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act, 130
of 1993 as amended, under license from the Minister of Labour. The RMA Group
also operates under both short and long-term insurance licences issued by the
Financial Services Board (FSB). Three additional operating entities form part of
the RMA Group and are also indirect subsidiaries of RMA, namely: Rand Mutual
Admin Services, Rand Mutual Technology Solutions and Rand Mutual Property
Holding.

We have regional walk-in branches offices in South Africa and satellite offices in
Mthatha (Eastern Cape),  Mozambique and Lesotho. Our head office is in

is a top-up cover of the

We are delighted to inform you that we have officially moved from 22
and 23 Wellington Road to our new home located at no 10 St Andrews
Road, Parktown Johannesburg.
Our move to a new home is about continuous collaboration and
cohesive environment to execute our brand promise of caring,
compassionate compensation at every level of the organisation.
We believe that the new office space will offer us an opportunity to
work closely together in pursuit of reaching our strategic goals. We
are confident that this move will positively affect our working
relationships and improve service delivery to our stakeholders.

2 Parking Rules  

Please adhere to the parking Rules and Regulations by paying
attention to the following parking facilities don’ts:

Do not park in reserved bays 
Do not park in another tenant’s bay
Do not double or illegally park in the drive lanes
Do not park in a way that obstructs traffic or the view of other
drivers/users
Do not park on bays reserved for disabled persons
Do not park on any other un-demarcated space

3 Dress code  

Your attire must be acceptable for a working environment. RMA
expects employees to dress appropriately in business casual attire.

4 How do I communicate at RMA?  

We have a great ICT department that provides us with world class
communication platforms and equipment. We use the following to
communicate:

Email is widely used for communication. 

Skype for business  is used by RMA'ers to chat(instant
messaging), audio and video calls and online meetings.

Note! At RMA we don't have landlines, we only use
Skype for business to make calls. 

MS Teams is used by RMA'ers to chat (instant
messaging), audio and video calls and online meetings.

Yammer is an organisation social
media platform. You will be able
to    share, create and edit content
across your business

5 How do I keep up-to-date with

what's happening at RMA?

To keep up-to- date you must read, attend and view the following:

Attend engagement sessions e.g Town hall
Access the RMA SharePoint  site

6 ICT or HC Support

For Information Communication Technology(ICT) support regarding
hardware or software you will have to log a call by sending an email
to [email protected] 

For Human Capital (HC) support also known as HR, you will have to
log a call by sending an email to [email protected] 

7 How to book Meeting rooms?

Meeting rooms are open to be used by all
employees. To book the meeting room you have
to open Ms Outlook, create a meeting invite,
browse the RMA global address list and select a
meeting room of your choice. 

Note! The meeting room must be included in the meeting invitation
to confirm availability and reservation. Meeting rooms under the
heading Exclusions are excluded from public or employee usage
and have a different booking/reservation procedure.

8 Understanding the RMA lingo

At RMA we use a great number of acronyms and abbreviations. Here are
some of the acronyms that will make a difference in your first day, week
and month. Learn them!

Our Systems

DAY TO DAY systems
)

1 Employee self service

RMA uses Sage VIP Employee Self Service (ESS). The system is used
by all employees to capture and update their personal details, to
view and download payslip, IRP5. Employees also apply for leave on
ESS. 

2 Learner Management system

All Learning and Development (L&D) activities are managed on the
Learner Management System (LMS). Employees are able to book
internal courses on the LMS, register for online courses, complete
Personal Development Plans (PDP) and other relevant activities.
The LMS is integrated with LinkedIn learning and therefore you will
have access to thousands of online courses

3 Peformax

Peformax is a system RMA uses to manage performance. Employees
and managers develop KPAs and track performance on the system. 

4 E - Talent

 At RMA we use e Talent for recruitment. The system is used for
advertising job vacancies, managing applications,
sourcing candidates etc.
