第十一屆沙大中華文化之夜 PESTA TIONG HUA UMS KE-11 歷史 HISTORY Kelab Kebudayaan Tiong Hua - Sheng Xi, was founded in 2011 by a group of students from Universiti Malaysia Sabah. The mission of this society is to inherit Chinese culture and carry forward virtues. Due to its unique purpose, the Kelab Tiong Hua - Sheng Xi has quickly become a remarkable organization on campus. Pesta Tiong Hua UMS is a cultural event organized by our university students annually. Through this activity, the association successfully showed the rich connotation of Chinese culture to the university campus and community, and attracted the attention and participation of many audiences. In addition to organizing activities on campus, the Kelab Kebudayaan Tiong Hua - Sheng Xi also actively participates in community service and cultural promotion activities. We adhere to the purpose of carrying forward and maintaining the local Chinese culture in Malaysia. We grasp to show our customs with the tenacious spirits, while not forgetting one’s origin. The existence of this community not only enriches the campus cultural life of Universiti Malaysia Sabah, but also provides a platform for members to learn and grow together. First and foremost, I would like to extend my congratulations to the members of the Universiti Malaysia Sabah 2024 Pesta Tiong Hua for allthe effort and energy that has been dedicated to making the 11th Pesta Tiong Hua a success this year. Coincidentally, our 11th Pesta Tiong Hua also coincides with the 50th Anniversary of Malaysia-China Diplomatic Relations. The celebration ofthis Pesta Tiong Hua has provided an excellent opportunity for students of various races and religions to participate in activities outside of lecture hours. Additionally, the theme of this year's Pesta Tiong Hua offers an understanding of chinese“Kampung Baru”and fosters national integration among the Universiti Malaysia Sabah community, which encompasses diverse cultures and traditions. We should be grateful that Malaysia consists of a multiracial society. With this unique characteristic, Malaysians have the opportunity to celebrate allfestivals together, regardless of differing identities. The organization of the Pesta Tiong Hua program is also capable of developing the soft skills of our students. The success and effort of each member involved in the implementation of the 2024 Pesta Tiong Hua clearly demonstrate that our students are capable of engaging in various organizational units with different task scopes. Such community-oriented activities also enable individuals to gain additional knowledge in terms of communication,management, leadership, andmore, notjustlimited to the knowledge acquired in lecture rooms. In conclusion, I hope all the student organizing committee members will continue to strive diligently in organizing Pesta Tiong Hua every year.May the targeted objectives be achieved, building a strong Malaysian nation through robust unity among the multiracial community within UniversitiMalaysia Sabah. First and foremost, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude and congratulations to all the program committee members who have given their full support in organizing the 11th Universiti Malaysia Sabah Pesta Tiong Hua approaching 2024. Our success today is the result of unwavering commitment and dedication from all involved parties. Despite facing various challenges and difficulties during the preparations, the spirit of cooperation and diligent efforts have enabled us to overcome themall. For everyone's information, "缘自中华" is the general theme for the Tiong Hua Festival each year. This program is a lively and meaningful cultural activity of the Chinese community. It is organized by the Kelab Kebudayaan Tiong Hua – Sheng Xi. This year's theme is "Kampung Baru" and the name ofthe programis "Chong Fan Xin Cun" or "Balik Kampung," symbolizing a return to our roots,traditional cultural origins, and appreciating traditional values and lifestyles. The term "Kampung Baru" represents childhood memories for many and is also a place where many family stories unfold. With this chosen theme, we hope to revive nostalgia and remind us all of the importance of preserving and continuing our cultural heritage. This program aims to further strengthen values, customs, and culture among the Chinese community, as well as introduce the uniqueness of Tiong Hua culture to the broader community, especially the students of Universiti Malaysia Sabah. It is my great hope that this planned program can raise awareness among the community about the importance of cultural appreciation. May this program foster closer relationships among us, thus achieving its objectives. We believe this program can have a significant impact on the students and beloved attendees, encouraging them to love and appreciate their own culture and traditions. 二十四節令鼓 24 Festive Drums 第十一屆沙大中華文化之夜 PESTA TIONG HUA UMS KE-11 表演社團簡介 INTRODUCTION TO CLUB PERFORMANCE 在疫情之後，沉寂已久的沙大廿四節令鼓 隊回來了！沙大節令鼓隊是以習鼓娛樂為 主的社團，是一支擁有多元元素的團 體，打破種族與國籍的框架，不單只有 馬來西亞華人，更擁有巫裔，沙巴土著 與從遠方而來就讀沙巴大學的中國同胞參 與其中。 沙大廿四節令鼓隊旨在弘揚馬 來西亞獨特的傳統文化、促進團隊協作以 及培養成員對節令鼓興趣為起點。 成員 每周將學習與練習節令鼓，以提升成員們 打擊樂的實力。 在這傳承的道路上，我 們或許會面臨困難和挑戰，但我們相信來 日方長，讓我們懷揣信心，一起創造屬 於馬來西亞沙巴大學獨特的廿四節令鼓 隊！ 華樂團 ChineseOrchestra 沙巴大學華樂團是於2016年9月，由一 群熱愛華樂的沙大學生與沙巴大學華文 學會協力創辦。 沙巴大學華樂團自成立 至今都秉持著發揚中華的傳統音樂文化 為宗旨。 同時為了提升大學生的文藝素 養，利用課餘的時間豐富自己的大學生 活。 本團也積極於參加校內與校外活動 並藉此機會推廣傳統文化，挖掘地方文 化。 從樂團創辦至今以已舉辦了三屆音 樂會和參加許多校內校外活動並且從一 開始的10餘人成長至今的40餘人。
FunzCrew 第十一屆沙大中華文化之夜 PESTA TIONG HUA UMS KE-11 表演社團簡介 INTRODUCTION TO CLUB PERFORMANCE Funz Crew是一個由多位舞蹈熱愛者於2010年 共同成立的舞蹈團體，至今仍活躍。 我們的 主要目標是鼓勵大學生積極追求舞蹈和能在 大舞台上表演的夢想，並提供一個共同學習 舞蹈的平台。 此外，我們也希望透過舞蹈幫 助大家減輕課業壓力，釋放內心的焦慮。 我們也曾經參加了許多活動和表演，這也包 括了聖誕節慶典，Tamu Gadang，2023年的沙 大中華文化之夜，和2023年的VARSITY AERODANCE CHAMPIONSHIP。另外，我們從 上學期開始舉辦了舞蹈工作坊，旨在幫助大 家提升舞蹈技巧。 沙巴亞庇群聖龍麒狮体育会 沙巴亞庇群聖龍麒獅體育會成立於 2006年至今已有了將近18年的歷 史。 本會師傅-賈有傑師傅也是本會 的創辦人因自身非常喜歡舞龍舞獅 這項傳統文化而前去西馬考取了證 照創辦了亞庇群聖龍麒獅體育會。 舞龍不單單只是一個中華文化他更 多的是能夠教導到我們書本上教不 到的知識，而且也能夠使我們的身 體越來越健康，也會讓我們的反應 能力變得更加敏捷。此外，本隊也 在這長達18年的期間參加過舞獅傳 統賽和是唯一一隊在沙巴前往西馬 比賽的舞龍隊，本隊分別在2009 年，2010年，2017年和2023年參加 過4場賽事。 Qun Sheng Lion Dance Association
