This semester's design project will focus on proposing a medium-scale public commercial facility with a specific client. Fitness Centre incorporates several sorts of health and fitness programmes that will be chosen and developed by the student. Students' programmes could include a gym/fitness club or classes/health spa/studio (yoga, dancing, Zumba, aerobic exercise)/taekwondo club, as well as facilities such as an administration office, maintenance office, kids' area, and other associated amenities (changing, restroom, surau). Students can also add retail or small cafes as revenue generators. The goal is to advertise all of the client's products or services at the same time and in the same place. The Fitness Centre is a health, recreational, and social facility geared towards exercise, sports, and other physical activities. It may be a for-profit commercial facility or a community- or a community- or institutionally-supported centre. A successful facility will accommodate both the serious athlete and the casual recreational user. Before this, Kota Bharu was known as Kuala Kelantan. Kota Bharu was established by Sultan Muhammad II of Kelantan in 1844 as Kelantan’s capital after the old capital was drowned by a flood in which located on the low-lying Sabak Island Before, Kota Bharu assumed the role, the Kelantanese capital was divided into two which were Kota Kubang Labu and Kota Pengkalan Datu. The name means ‘new city’ or ‘new castle/fort’ in Malay which is located in the northeastern part of Peninsular Malaysia and lies near the Thai border, Narathiwat. Kota Bharu was declared ‘The Islamic City. This title is given to the city that observes Islamic principles in daily life. The oldest mosque ever to exist in peninsular Malaysia ‘Masjid Kampung Laut’ proves that most historical buildings were carefully preserved here HISTORICAL TIMELINE Beginning the Battle of Kota Bharu, the first battle of the Malayan campaign. Japanese forces captured the city and would go on to successfully engage the British in jungle warfare and ultimately capture Singapore. Before the establishment, Kota Bharu was home to Kelantan's Royal Palace, then established by Sultan Muhammad II of Kelantan in 1844 as Kelantan's state capital who wanted the new state capital built in his honor. Kota Bharu was declared as the "Cultural City" on 25 July 1991 by the late Sultan Ismail Petra on the basis of two important aspects – the history of Kota Bharu and the uniqueness of its local arts and cultures. Kota Bharu was rebranded as the "Islamic City" (Malay: Bandar Raya Islam) by the Kelantan State Government on 1 October 2005 through its "Developing With Islam" (Malay: Membangun Bersama Islam) policy. 1941 1944 2005 1991 • Peoples come to shopping start at 9am until 10pm • Aeon’s workers come to work at 9am & back at 11pm • Lorries come to drop a supply at loading bay AEON MALL • Ticket counter (24 lot) • Food court (35 lot) • Surau • Public toilet • Store (10 lot) STATION BUS • Diploma In Business • Diploma In Nursing • Diploma In Tourism • Diploma In Accounting • Diploma In Argo Technology • Diploma In Early Childhood Education KPTM Rector’s Office Register • Main Meeting Room • Unit Of Academic UITM • Shopping mall • Hour 8am until 10pm LOTUS’S KOTA BHARU RIVER RESIDENTAL • The immediate surroundings of the site for perhaps three to four blocks beyond the site boundary. • This may be extended further to include an important factor or because of the scale of the project. • The map may show existing and projected uses, buildings, zoning, and any other conditions that may have an impact on our project. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 PLATINUM MALL Shopping mall Hour 10am until 7pm Diploma In Medical Assistant LINCOLN UNIVERSITY COLLEGE 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 The Sireh Valley Development Project (Kota Bharu Waterfront) is the largest real estate in the state of Kelantan. A radial design approach uses various sizes of circles that branch out from a central point and multidirectional straight lines on a radial grid. DESIGN APPROACH Grid Key Symbols IDEA AND CONCEPT Connecting humans with nature, which is said to calm both the heart and the mind. Examine how pedestrians navigate the site. It is a concept that captures the experience of moving our bodies around and inside the building to get fit in the fitness center while also being able to see the soothing nature because it has green plants, a pond with fish swimming in it, and can also see the beauty around when climbing the climbing wall at this fitness center.
