INTRODUCTION

Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology (SZABIST) is highly ranked and fully
chartered institute of Pakistan established through a Legislative Act of Sindh Assembly (Sindh Act No.
XI of 1995). It is approved and recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan as a
degree awarding institution. All the programs offered at SZABIST are consistent with the guidelines
laid by HEC and other regulatory bodies, for example, National Business Education Accreditation
Council (NBEAC), National Computing Education Accreditation Council (NCEAC), National
Accreditation Council for Teacher Education (NACTE), and Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC).

SZABIST comprises five campuses located in Karachi, Hyderabad, Larkana, Islamabad and Dubai
with a current student population of over 11,000. SZABIST has proudly awarded degrees to over
21,000 talented graduates. Our alumni are sought by national and multinational organizations and
hold key positions in several reputable firms at national and international level.

SZABIST offers undergraduate, graduate and post graduate degrees in 6 different disciplines:
Management Sciences, Computer Sciences, Media Sciences, Education & Social Sciences,
Mechatronic Engineering and Life Sciences. In addition, SZABIST offers LLB program and BABS
program as external programs in affiliation with University of London and Coventry University, UK
respectively. In order to further diversify SZABIST's portfolio, MS and PhD programs in Educational
Leadership & Management have been introduced in Fall-2015.

SZABIST is ranked as one of the most reputed university by Higher Education Commission (HEC) and
Chartered Inspection and Evaluation Committee (CIEC) Sindh. All programs of SZABIST are
conducted under strict compliance of the relevant regulator bodies such as NBEAC, NCEAC,
NACTE, PEC and KHDA Dubai. Since 2012, the SZABIST-QEC has been awarded more than 91% in the
quantitative assessment by Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) HEC, Pakistan.

The Institute has signed MoUs’ with various reputable and distinguished organizations and institutions
such as Istanbul Medipol University, Turkey; University of London, UK; ICRC, Aman Foundation and JS
Bank.

SZABIST Karachi Campus is situated in the prime location of Clifton Block 5 (campus units: 79, 99, 100,
153, 154, 172/1, 172/2). Plans are underway for the construction of a purpose- built campus for
Management Sciences, Computer Science, Education & Social Sciences, Media Sciences,
Mechatronic Engineering, and Life Sciences departments. Moreover, SZABIST has established its
School of Engineering & Applied Sciences at its newly built campus at Gharo. SZABIST-Gharo
campus is on the main National Highway, at 40 minutes drive from Karachi Airport. SZABIST Gharo
Campus will open its first Academic Session in Fall 2021.

Dear Students, colleagues, management, faculty and staff of SZABIST. It gives me immense pleas-
ure to address you on the 25th Anniversary of SZABIST. SZABIST has been a hallmark university
throughout the years. With pride, I can say that our Founding Chancellor Shaheed Mohtarma
Benazir Bhutto was highly involved in the setting up of SZABIST and putting it together is one of her
biggest contribution to education for our youth.
I started as a Member of the Board of Trustees when I was in Dubai and Shaheed Mohtarma Bena-
zir Sahiba was running SZABIST during her exile. I continued to be a Board member until I became
Chancellor in 2008. After the Shahadat of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, it was hard to step into her
shoes because she had been instrumental in setting up SZABIST as a premier education institute.
During my tenure, I have tried to work with everyone in SZABIST community to bring about major
changes in the SZABIST university teaching processes and instruction processes. Along with this
SZABIST has been able to launch ZABTech institutes in various districts of Sindh. We have really
expanded the SZABIST portfolio by establishing schools and colleges in various districts of Sindh.
I would also like to thank our founding members who were instrumental in setting up SZABIST. We
would further like to see that SZABIST becomes one of the premier universities, which continues to
serve the people of Pakistan, the citizens of Pakistan.

I would like to congratulate the students, the faculty, and all those associated with
SZABIST on the 25th Anniversary. It has been a very difficult struggle. This idea came into the
mind of my leader Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Sahiba 30-35 years back, she said my
vision is that Pakistan should get the highest quality of education, specially the area of Sindh
because in the interior of Sindh people have never received quality education. So with that
endeavor in mind the existence of SZABIST came into being 25 years back.
First, we had a campus in Karachi, the second in Larkana, and then we moved out to Islamabad
and then in the interior of Sindh and today, we have gone internationally and we have a campus
in Dubai. So this was the sincere effort of Benazir Sahiba. Our most difficult task was to get a team
of high quality teachers, because to get high quality teachers of real high caliber was very
difficult because our institution was new. But with God’s grace and the efforts of the people we
got a wonderful team and right from the beginning the objective was always that we should be
among the top institutions of the country. Today, Masha’Allah we are among the top academic
institutions where high quality education is imparted.
I must heartily congratulate Bakhtawar Bhutto Sahiba who is a Chairperson of SZABIST and Dr. Azra
Fazal Pechuho who is the Co-Chairperson as well as the Chancellor of SZABIST who have put in
their continuous efforts towards building up this institution. It has been a joint effort of everyone in
SZABIST whether academicians and non-academicians. Moreover, today I am proud of the fact
of where we have reached. My message to the students and to all young people is to endeavor
to reach to the top.

It is a matter of great appreciation and satisfaction to know that SZABIST authority has decided to
celebrate 25 years of its establishment.
I have had the honor of being appointed as member of board of trustees under Shaheed Mohtrama Benazir
Bhutto leadership in the year 1997. By grace of Almighty Allah, I have been working as member for last 23 years.
Through this long association, I have seen SZABIST growing and progressing rapidly. It brings deep sense of fulfillment to
trace the phenomenal achievement of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science & Technology (SZABIST) during
the period of 25 years.
A part from degree awarding campuses the institute has established number of Junior Schools, Intermediate Colleges,
Technical and Vocational Centers named as ZABTech providing opportunity to young and old to earn livelihood
through practical training. ZABTech by its program and success has earned support of European Union, German
Corporation, Norwegian Embassy and Government of Pakistan.
One prestigious position that SZABIST acquired is that University of London authorized Karachi Campus to establish three
years external program for L.L.B degree. Students take admissions in London through SZABIST Karachi Campus where
they take classes and are prepared to appear for three yearly L.L.B examinations to be conducted through High
Commission of UK in Karachi. Sizeable number of young people through this arrangement are now holding L.L.B
degrees of University of London and saving millions of rupees by not attending classes in London.
The main campus in Karachi along with campuses in Islamabad, Larkana, Hyderabad and Dubai have produced
promising young alumni in many disciplines. It is a matter of pride for SZABIST that hundreds of our alumni possess
important and responsible positions both nationally and internationally.
The Larkana campus is an outstanding project which was completed in 2004, under able guidance of Shaheed
Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, I was one of the members of construction committee, Mohtarma appointed me as a
honorary financial controller of Larkana Campus from 2004 which duty I am performing up to now, performance of this
duty according to me is social service which I am enjoying the most.
Lastly considering the academic excellence of SZABIST, I heartily facilitate the faculty and administration for their
devotion and commitment to the cause of quality education and enhancing the reputation of the SZABIST.

My affiliation with Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto started in 1988 when she
became the Prime Minister of Pakistan. At that time, I became an information secretary
of division Larkana and from that time, Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto had this idea in
mind of making an institution for the people of Pakistan so that people would know who
Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was. She wanted to make an institute in the name of her father.
The initial Members Board of Trustees were Sardar Farooq Leghari, Dr. Naseer Sheikh, Yahya Bakh-
tiar, Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah, Iftikhar Gillani and Iqbal Haider. They all conceived an institution
which will be established across Pakistan. On 2nd January 1996, just three days before the birth-
day of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto opened the institute
named ZABIM in Larkana. It was a small college in a rented banglow where we opened Zulfiqar
Ali Bhutto Institute of Management (ZABIM). From here, we started our journey and today by the
grace of God, SZABIST has now become a renowned institution both inside Pakistan and outside
as well. We have campuses in Karachi, Dubai, Larkana, Hyderabad, Islamabad and we have a
large network of schools, colleges and vocational training institutes established in different areas
of Pakistan. Chairperson / Chancellor Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho is now carrying the vision of
Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. Thank You!

Congratulation to SZABIST for its 25 Years Anniversary. It is a moment of great joy that
we have reached this far. My association with SZABIST is of seven years. SZABIST was the
fulfilment of the dream of our leader Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.
Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto was a world-class leader and her vision was very broad. At
one hand, she wanted the name of her father Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto to remain alive and on
the other hand, she wanted to establish an institution, which would provide high quality educa-
tion to the young generation of our country. In her lifetime, not only did she do the ground-break-
ing work of SZABIST but also helped it reach a high position. The good thing is that even after the
martyrdom of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto the institute is run with the same vision and dedication.
On this momentous occasion, I would specially like to congratulate Co-Chairperson / Chancellor
Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho who is taking forward the workings of this institution with great commit-
ment and dedication. Right now, SZABIST offers various programs apart from its initial tech
programs. SZABIST has its system of schools and has a skill development program, which have
been running very efficiently. I would also like to congratulate Chairperson Bakhtawar Bhutto Zard-
ari who at such an early age has taken over the responsibilities of this institution.
I pray that we keep working towards the vision of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto to make
SZABIST a premier world-class institute. Thank You.

I feel immense pleasure to pen the message for SZABIST Souvenir being brought up, very pleased
to be part of SZABIST, one of the best and fully recognized university for academic excellence to
serve the nation and humanity.
Congratulations to senior management (Chairperson & Chancellor) who have great vision to
include me as Member Board of Trustees/Treasurer from 2019, I remain hardworking, honest, loyal
and sincere to the organization.
I am one of the fortunate members who have worked as close associate of Mohtarma Benazir
Bhutto Shaheed, who was a very loving daughter of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, and created in
his loving memory SZABIST which will remain for a long time, to remember the name of Shaheed
Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
It is a moment of pride that we are now celebrating 25 years Silver Jubilee of SZABIST and we are
proud to be the workforce behind her vision and mission of her great leadership.
SZABIST is a unique institution serving the needs of nation from Junior School to the University level
by providing good & quality education along with ethics of life.

My relationship with SZABIST is in a sense very old as I remained aware of the
activities of SZABIST through newspapers or when I used to meet the students of SZABIST
I got the idea that SZABIST is a good institution which provides its students education in
different fields of sciences apart from Law. Few years before when I was invited to join as
Member Board of Trustees and Board of Governors at SZABIST so I accepted this offer whole
heartedly and from then on I am involved in the activities which the Board Trustees and Board of
Governors perform. It gives me immense joy to see this institution with all its hard work has
completed the period of 25 years. It was the vision of Mohtarma Shaheed Benazir Bhutto that the
people of Pakistan should get better opportunities of education. I feel that the graduates of
SZABIST emerge as disciplined citizens of Pakistan because of the good quality education that
they had received. The fact that the graduates of SZABIST are wholeheartedly performing their
duties in different professions indicates an efficient management team of SZABIST and that
SZABIST as an institution provides a productive environment for its students along with good
faculty. I am adamant on the fact that in the coming years we will provide better service for the
nation of Pakistan and in the process of making educated and respectable citizens of Pakistan
SZABIST will continue to play its role. The management of SZABIST, its chairperson, all of them are
devoted people who feel obliged to serve this institution. I pray to Allah to give this institution more
success and to elevate the statuses of its management and faculty.

Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto carried the legacy of her illustrious father in all arenas of
public life. She led courageously, faced terrible hardships, remained true to the democratic
path, taught and practiced reconciliation under the most challenging conditions of adversity,
stood with the people, and was willing to sacrifice all. Through her life and her actions she
continued to pay tribute to this legacy. SZABIST is part of that tribute. Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto
had a dream for the country, for all of Asia, in fact for what is called the Global South now - it was
to overcome economic backwardness and political dependence through excellence in
science, technology and adopting modern approaches to solving problems, while remaining
true to our soil, drawing strength from its history. His vision of 'sohni dharti' was the beloved land,
made beautiful by a people empowered by democracy and scientific advances. In my opinion,
SZABIST represents part of that legacy preserved and advanced by Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir
Bhutto - global excellence with local roots.

It is an occasion to rejoice and celebrate. SZABIST has completed twenty-five years of its
dedicated services towards the quality education. I was elected as member of Board of
Trustees on 10th January 1992 in the 2nd meeting of Board of Trustees. I have fond memories of
working with Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto (Shaheed) while she was in opposition and then Prime
Minister of Pakistan. The meetings of Board were always related to establish SZABIST.
The Project Director was appointed in 1995 and in November 1995 the first batch of students of
Masters in Software Engineering was enrolled. I was appointed first full time Secretary Board of
Trustees on 19th December 1999 and took over the office on 1st January 2000. Last 21 years has
taken SZABIST from two faculties to seven departments.
Anyhow, Gharo Campus is under construction and ZABTech (iTVE) Gharo has been established.
The hard honest work has shown us the path of success. I believe we can achieve the heights of
academic excellence by dedication and hard work.

SZABIST’s journey of 25 years is one of unique institutional development. Starting with just
two departments of Management Science and Computer Science, today it is a university
which offers eight major programs. All these programs are aligned to the needs of Pakistan’s
socio economic development as well as to the needs of the young generation who have to
deal with a very competitive world. SZABIST is unique in many ways, it is dedicated to being a
quality university which focuses on rigorous academic work, promotes relevant and high relevant
research. As an institution, SZABIST resilient is very responsive to the needs of our students and to
the needs of our faculty for their future development and growth.
SZABIST operates in line with the Vision and Mission of our founder Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto
Shaheed who always wanted a university that provided a nurturing and supportive environment
for students for their intellectual development, growth and research. However, what was equally
important in her mind was to provide a comprehensive wholesome environment where not only
students have the opportunity to attain academic excellence but they also have the opportunity
to develop their talents in debating, art, theatre, historical societies, cultural societies, literary
societies, sport societies, travelling and engaging with the world outside.
SZABIST is proud of its achievements. I would like to congratulate every member who has made it
possible for SZABIST to be recognized as one of the premier universities of Pakistan. We are a
private sector university and we have shown that we can actually excel, that we can be
responsive, responsible and also contribute to the country’s development. Achieving the
milestone of 25 years is a matter of pride for all of us. The Board of Trustees in particular is to be
credited for providing the overall guidance and support to the senior management inclusive of
Dr. Altaf Mukati, Madam Nasreen Haque, Heads of Campuses, Deans, HoDs and Faculty who are
the architects of this institution.

25 years it is! Silver Jubilee
Kudos to the vision of its founder for sowing its seed in 1995 has germinated into a full-grown tree
with branches in the span of just 25 years, with hundreds of people in the market place (Alumni)
boast of its formation embedded in the mission which states that the vision of this great institution
is to form “morally upright, academically excellent, gentle mannered young men and women
who make a positive impact in society”.
Working for SZABIST as a Vice President (Academics) is a pride. SZABIST, which started its journey
with just two programs of MBA and MS (Software Engineering) with 96 students enrolled, is now
offering 43 programs (with specializations) from undergraduate to PhD with an enrollment of over
10,000 students across its five campuses. SZABIST enjoys 95% on its quality index as assessed by
HEC, with all of its programs are accredited by the relevant national regulatory bodies. With
nearly 100 research published by its faculty every year, SZABIST believes an institution without
research is like a body without soul, has embedded research component in all of its programs.
With more than 21,000 students graduated, SZABIST has a very strong well-placed alumni, serving
nationally and internationally.

It is with great pleasure and pride that we are celebrating SZABIST’s 25th Anniversary. My
congratulations on completing a quarter of a century of remarkable achievements to truly
establish an institution of academic excellence.
Anniversary encourages us to look back and recognize the powerful impact that the institute has
made by grooming students as effective and responsible leaders. Not only is SZABIST Alumni sought by
national and multinational organizations, but they hold key positions producing and implementing power-
ful and important ideas.
SZABIST founded in 1995 has had an enviable record of accomplishments at its campuses at Karachi,
Hyderabad, Larkana, Islamabad and Dubai as well as at its Schools, Technical Training Centre’s and Allied
units. But what has been achieved would not have been possible without key contributions from every one
and I am proud to be a part of these initiatives.
With a Can-Do attitude, we have come this far in such a short period of time. But we are by no means
satisfied. We must aim higher, to make this institute an even greater place for the world to see and recog-
nize. To do that, innovation and imagination hold the keys to our future success.
We are blessed to be working under the policy directives of our Chairperson Board of Trustees Madam
Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari the daughter of our founder Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, and the leader-
ship of our Chancellor Madam Azra Fazal Pechuho. It is under the SZABIST leadership that the team has
worked hard to make the dream of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and the vision of Shaheed Zulfikar
Ali Bhutto come true. I am confident that under their leadership SZABIST will continue to nurture capable
professionals who will meet the needs and challenges of the next century positively impacting Pakistan and
the world.
My warmest congratulations on achieving this important milestone. SZABIST has a bright future and my best
wishes for even greater success in the years to come.

While the SZABIST family celebrates the Silver Jubilee of the creation of this
prestigious seat of higher learning, it gives me a great feeling of self-fulfillment to be
part of the team missioned with the realization of the dream and the vision of the founding
leadership of SZABIST.
The genesis of SZABIST dates back to early 1990’s when the then Prime Minister of Pakistan,
Shaheed Mohtarama Benazir Bhutto, envisioned a centre of excellence in science and
technology deeply informed in social sensitivities and economic considerations of the country.
She firmly believed that Pakistan can achieve an honorable status in the comity of nations only
through investing in developing qualified, responsible, and skilled human resource. To realize her
dream, she laid the foundation of SZABIST.
Hence, SZABIST focused on inculcating personal and professional traits of motivation, integrity,
competence, and ability along with academic excellence to bring about the desirable shift in
our socioeconomic fabric to make the country a prosperous, successful, and modern nation with
the potential to positively respond to the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century.
Steadfast in our mission, we have been continuously investing on the human resource
development to improve the intellectual and investigative qualities of the youth for national
advancement and prosperity.

directly or indirectly towards the making of this world class Institute. To us SZABIST is not an Institute
but a family symbolic of a clear vision, and strong commitment of Shaheed BIBI Muhtarma Bena-
zir Bhutto. As Bibi Shaheed firmly believed in high-quality tertiary education for the students of
Pakistan generally and Sindh province specially. Hence, SZABIST has provided a nurturing ground
for the development of contemporary knowledge, critical inquiry, leadership, and core life skills.
SZABIST Larkana campus has a glorious history; Bibi Shaheed inaugurated this campus in 1996, in
a small building at Larkana and in 2004, the campus shifted to its new building which is custom-
ized with the state of the art facilities.
Since then SZABIST Larkana has started to grow everyday thus, it has presently attended the repu-
tation of top institute of higher education in the region. We are proud to carry forward the vision

My sincere congratulation on the Silver Jubilee celebrations of SZABIST. This is indeed
a milestone to celebrate!
SZABIST Dubai Campus was established by the Founding Chancellor of SZABIST Shaheed
Mohtrama Benazir Bhutto in October 2003 and the first academic session commenced at the
Dubai Knowledge Village Campus in the Faculties of Management Sciences and Computer
Sciences.
The Campus was established with the sole intention of serving Pakistani Community living in the
UAE and in the neighboring gulf countries. SZABIST Dubai Campus started as the only Pakistani
University of the region. Itis approved and recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC),
Pakistan and licensed by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority, Dubai.
SZABIST is proud to offer education par excellence in the areas that are crucial for social,
technical and economic development of the Pakistani community both at home and abroad.
The graduates of Dubai Campus have gained valuable experiences during their learning journey
at SZABIST Dubai.
The U.A.E is known world-wide as a commercial hub, for its active involvement in the economic
development in the gulf region. The students at Dubai Campus are fortunate to have the
exposure to the finest global businesses and professional practices in order to prepare themselves
for the future challenges of the competitive global corporate environment accordingly. Apart

YEAR On 25th October 1995 Sindh Government Gazette
1995 Published a Notification regarding Shaheed Zulfikar Ali
Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology (SZABIST) as a
fully Chartered Institute.
SZABIST started its operations at the iconic 90 Clifton
Campus which was originally owned by Founding
Chancellor; Shaheed Mohtarma Benzair Bhutto.

On 21st January 1996, Karachi Campus started its first YEAR
Academic Session offering MBA and MS Software 1996
Engineering.
On 2nd January 1996, SZABIM Larkana Campus was
inaugurated by Founding Chancellor; Shaheed
Mohtarma Benzair Bhutto.

YEAR On 30th April 1998, Iconic Logo of SZABIST was
1998 Registered. Mr. Asad Faruki was the creator of the
logo. Vice President (SZABIST) Mr. Syed Ghulam Mustafa
Shah applied for the registration and Senator Syed Iqbal
Hyder assisted with the registration process.
SZABIST Karachi Campus introduced BBA, Masters Degrees
and Doctorates in Management Sciences and Computer
Sciences.

BSCS was launched at Karachi Campus. YEAR

YEAR SZABIST established the first education ISP in year 2000.
2000 Services were available to Karachi and Larkana students.
SZABIST Karachi was also the first ever entity to utilize and
set up wireless internet to cater requirements of students
seamlessly in the year 2000.
SZABIST Islamabad Campus was inaugurated on 10th
October 2000 with three programs namely BBA, BCS and
MCS.
SZABIST launched Job Skill Training Centers (JSTCs) in the
cities of Larkana and Hyderabad.

Masters degrees and Doctorates in Social Sciences YEAR
were introduced at Karachi Campus. 2001
A JSTC was set up in Nawabshah. BBA program was
initiated at the Islamabad Campus.

YEAR The external LLB program of University of London
2002 (UoL) commenced studies at Karachi Campus.

SZABIST pioneered Pakistan’s first online research YEAR
journal, Journal of Independent Studies (JISR). 2003
BS in Telecommunication was launched at the
Islamabad Campus.
SZABIST Dubai Campus was inaugurated on 11th
October 2003. Initial programs were BBA, BS
Computer Science, MBA and MS Computer Science.

YEAR In 2004, the Larkana campus shifted to its new building
2004 customized with the state-of-the-art facilities.
An Intermediate College (IMC) in Larkana was
launched.
MS Management Sciences, MS Computer Science and
MS Social Sciences program was initiated at the
Islamabad Campus.
Executive MBA was introduced at Dubai Campus.

BS Media Science program was launched at Karachi YEAR
Campus. 2005
IMCs in Nawabshah and Mirpurkhas were opened.
PhD-MS program started at the Islamabad Campus.

YEAR Executive MBA program was introduced at the
2006 Islamabad Campus.

On 8th February 2007, Karachi Campus established YEAR
Pakistan's 1st Educational FM Radio Station ZABFM 2007
106.6. Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority
(PEMRA) allotted frequency of 106.6 on 18th June
2007.
Programs of BS Social Sciences and BABS were
introduced at the Karachi Campus.
BS Social Sciences, MBA-36 and MBA-72 were
initiated at the Islamabad Campus.

YEAR Programs of MPM, PMBA and PhD-CS were introduced
2008 at the Islamabad Campus.
BS Media Science was launched in Dubai Campus.

SZABIST invested substantial funds in state-of-the-art YEAR
facilities for conducting cutting-edge research and 2009
development. These included the Center for
Renewable Energy Research (CRER), the Stem Cell
Research Center (SCRC), and a center for renewable
energy policy research in Sustainable Development
Research Center (SDRC).
Programs of BS Media Science, MBI and MISNA were
introduced at the Islamabad Campus.

YEAR Further diversifying its portfolio, SZABIST offered BE
2010 Mechatronic Engineering and MS Media Studies at the
Karachi Campus.
BS Accounting and Finance, MSPM, and MHRM were
launched at the Islamabad Campus. MBA-90 program was
initiated at Larkana Campus.
A JSTC was set up in Tando Mohammad Khan.
SZABIST opened a Montessori and Pre-Primary School in Larkana.
IR/ QEC Department was established at Karachi Campus to
maintain and monitor the quality of academic and
non-academic departments of all the four campuses.

On 6th August, 2011 SZABIST Hyderabad Campus was YEAR
inaugurated. Initial programs were BBA, BS Computer 2011
Science, MBA-36, MBA-72 and MBA-90 programs.
Further, MBA-90 and MS Media Studies were initiated at
Islamabad Campus.

YEAR Master of Advertising, MPM, and MTVP were launched
2012 at Karachi Campus.
Diplomas in Disaster Risk Management, Contract
Management, and Project Management were

MS Management Sciences was started at Dubai
Campus.
To encapsulate, SZABIST, in addition to imparting higher
education, has initiated programs to fulfill its broader
responsibilities towards the society.

Science were launched at Dubai Campus. 2013
BS Computer Science was initiated in Larkana
Campus.

YEAR Montessori and Junior School were established
2014 in Mirpurkhas.
University of South Wales Top Up Program was
introduced.

Programs of MSPM, MS Biosciences, MPH, MS ELM and YEAR
PhD ELM were introduced at the Karachi Campus. 2015
SZABIST Research Committee initiated its operations.
An ITVE* was established in Khairpur (GAMBAT).

ITVE were established in Gharo-Thatta and Sehwan
Jamshoro.

SZABIST accredited as a Training Provider by the YEAR
Chartered Institute of Logistic and Transport 2018
International to impart one-year International
Certificate Course in Logistic and Transport.

YEAR Montessori and Junior School were established
2019 in Mirpurkhas.
University of South Wales Top Up Program was
introduced.

SZABIST started its 25th Anniversary Celebration YEAR
by revealing the Silver Jubilee Logo in January 2020. 2020
SZABIST Karachi Campus, organized an International
Conference on Interdisciplinary research in Management,
Education and Social Sciences on 18th & 19th January 2020.
Revolving around the theme of “New Horizons for data driven
world: Challenges, Initiatives and Opportunities” the
conference showcased more than 300 research papers from
scholars around the world.
Due to COVID-19 SZABIST succesfully initiated its first Online
Classes Sessions in Spring and Summer 2020. The Fall 2020 session
was initially conducted under Synchronized Hybrid Learning
System but as a precautionary measure, the management
decided to go back to online classes sessions.
