NHM WELCOME CENTER
The Welcome Center of NHM Commons is 4,100 square feet of free new space for the community.
As guests come up the escalator and enter the airy interior, this massive green-hued dinosaur will be
the rst thing they see, positioned with his head just inside the entry doors.
(Think the trio of T. rexes in the Dinosaur Hall, but friendlier).
But, how exactly will Gnatalie take its place as the star attraction? It takes a village of NHMLAC
experts, including paleontologists, exhibition, and operations sta as well as international
collaborators. Once the bones are cleaned, they are sent to Research Casting International in
Ontario, Canada for mounting. Gnatalie will be the only Diplodocus mount on the West Coast.
