“The life of John”

The Story of my Birth

When I was in my mom's womb, I didn't
like to move around so they when to the
doctors to ask about me. The doctor said
eat ice cream so my mom did and i
started to move from shivers. I born in
Torrance Memorial Hospital. My mom
before my birth spent 2 to 3 months in a
hospital bed. The doctor found she had
high blood pressure caused by her
pregnancy. Once the blood pressure was
controlled, they went into delivering me. It
took longer to deliver than a regular baby
because of her blood pressure. I was
born with no voice and didn't cry at birth.

My Grandpa

My Grandpa meant a lot to my family and
me. He was an old man who was grumpy
majority of the time but, he was always
showing happiness somewhere when we
would visit him. He always cared about
me and would always make me smile with
jokes he would tell me. I had the
opportunity to go visit him two times which
me family took advantage of.He lived in
Guadalajara where my mom's childhood
took place. He would be happy every time
we go visit him. He got to have a last
Christmas and a week after he suffered a
heart attack. He would also smoke and
drink in evening on a daily basis. He was
able to have 9 kids which lived a decent
life and had a wife.

Basketball Summer League

I enjoy playing basketball. I had a
chance to play in a summer league
and got to play with my friends. I
had played in all of my games
except for one because of a
vacation. I played in Stevenson
Park and scott park. Played with
my friend Clyde and Matthew. I
also had my family with me and
cheering me on in the crowd. I
made new friends and got familiar
with Carson park which I oftenly
visit

My Grandma's Farm

Ever since I was little, I would visit my
Grandma's farm. I have enjoyed plenty
of memories there. One time when I was
little, I went on my bike with my cousin
up a hill across from the house on the
enormous property. We went up a safe
a slow route and took pictures up there.
We decided to go down a steeper but
faster route to get home quicker
because of the sundown. I ended up
going to fast and crashed into a cactus
and my bike on top of me. I ended up
with busted up knees and splinters of
the cactus all over me. My mom ended
up yelling at me and my cousin. That
was one of the many experiences I have
went through.

About the Author

I am John. I am 13 year old and attend
Stephen White Middle School and I am in the
8th grade. I enjoy playing basketball in my free
time and playing video games. In school I take
part in lunchtime basketball and compete
against other students. My favorite subject is
my elective which is spanish. I live with one
brother and two stepsisters which mean a lot to
me. I have both biological parents who take
care of me on a daily basis. I am grateful for
what my family has gave me.
