update on my progress to date.
Firstly, I would like to thank everyone for their great
support to date. My flyers requesting books and soft toys
for donation received a very positive response and I was
very touched by the kind messages from everyone as I
carried out my collections!
I have been lucky to secure a few days casual work at
Cammas Hall Farm and have some days lined up
painting a barn in the summer.
However, I am still very keen for any other work that I
can help anyone with. I have a little sister so am used to
babysitting and am willing to do any odd jobs or heavy
lifting.
You can contact me on 01279 731499 or e mail
[email protected]

Once again… thank you all for your support. I hope that
my July update will show some progress towards my
£3000 target.
Best wishes

Cameron

Here to help you through difficult times What are you worth? I’m not talking about money but

Thank you for your messages about the unwelcome
travellers at Hatfield Heath. HEALTH WALK HATFIELD HEATH
I had already been in discussion with your District Friday 10am outside Broomfield Surgery 730 512
Councillor, Mark Lemon, about this matter and he has
confirmed to me today that they have moved on. I trust
that they can continue to be warded off so that your plans
for the Festival are not disrupted.
I am sure you will understand that I have no power over
and above that of the Police and the local authority in a
matter of this kind. In the Hatfield Heath situation, the
Lord of the Manor is also a key player. However,
legislation is currently making its way through Parliament
which would lead to a strengthening of powers for the
authorities to deal with troubling situations of this kind.

Your sincerely
Alan Hazelhurst

Clerk circulated information received from Unity
Trust Bank plc, who are part owned by the co-
operative bank and provide services, specialising in
local councils, unions and charities. One important
service is dual and triple authority system which will
provide the ability to pay all bills electronically and
without the need for cheques. Several councils in
Essex have already changed, or are considering
changing to Unity Trust Bank, and Louise Fuller, the
trainer at the recent PAYE training course attended
by the clerk, has transferred her parish Council
accounts to Unity and recommends them highly.

Holiday weekend in aid of Grove Cottage
(MENCAP). Email: [email protected]
This year we opened on Saturday and Sunday by
popular demand. Although the weather was a bit J.W. TREE SURGEONS
chilly on Saturday, the rain stayed off. Sunday was
bright and sunny. Everyone who came enjoyed the All aspects of tree work undertaken
garden, the plant sale, coffee, and home made NPTC Qualified
cakes and the book stall. The highlight of Saturday
was the wonderful guitar music provided by the Tree Work Pruning
Essex Guitar Group and Zara Fox, the singer Felling
whose voice is a dream!
We would like to thank all our friends and Hedge Cutting
volunteers from Grove Cottage who made Stump Grinding
delicious cakes, all those who helped on the day,
and all those who generously donated raffle prizes. Log for sale
Thank you to the Inner Wheel for the delicious 01279302106
cakes and to Paulene Brakspear and Marian Carter
for doing gluten free cakes – they went down a treat!
Special thank you to the Village Hall Committee
for the use of the urns (we could not have done it
without them!) and to the Festival Committee for
the loan of a marquee (it served as our insurance
against the weather and it worked!!)
The total raised for the charity was £2,800 – a very
rewarding sum. We and Grove Cottage are most
appreciative.
Grove Cottage is affiliated to Mencap and is
maintained by local donations only. It provides
activities for children and adults with learning
disabilities and respite care for parents/carers. This
provides a much needed break for the families of
these children and adults.
Many thanks again. We hope to do it again next
