For All Building Works - ARE WE THE VILLAGE WITH

Decorating - Plumbing - Electrics
Carried Out with Great Attention to Detail Accordion to Stella Hughes, Hatfield Heath should
Tel: 01279 757 323 07836 205 103 apply to the Guinness Book of Records for the
village with the most ACCORDIONS! On Sunday

9th October we are going to count them!! So start
searching, dust off the cobwebs and be counted.
They could be being played regularly or hidden at
the back of a wardrobe or in the loft!

Twenty years ago, Stella came to teach accordion at
the village school and had a band of twenty players
who played regularly at fetes, concerts and festivals.
Some of these musicians have continued to make a
career in music, while others still enjoy playing for
their own pleasure. From that date, we have
continued to have accordion players in our village.
Mrs Langman, a past pupil of Stella Hughes is now
the accordion teacher at the village school and so the
tradition continues.

To celebrate these twenty years of accordion music
playing, Roman Pechmann, a world-class Classical
Accordion player from Klagenfurt, Austria, has
been invited to give a concert on

The Festival was revived with the intention it should be a
day that the Community of Hatfield Heath came together or visit our informative website:
to have a Fun Day to raise the community spirit. The www.stansted-airport-taxis.com
Festival was not intended to raise money for charities. As
a community event though, if people want to take part in
the Festival and run a stall or game etc., to raise money
for a charity, we are happy to accommodate them.
To our knowledge this year the charities that benefited to
a tune of about £600 were the following -
