P.W. Hopkins Skip Hire Hi Bruno,
Just thought I'd make a little
Domestic and Commercial Waste suggestion to all those guilty
dog owners who turn a blind
07836 377889 eye to the fact their furry
01279 731733 friend has just left a
sometimes small, sometimes
Email: [email protected] large package on the
pavement.
Also incorporating Garden and Tree Maintenance For as little as 75p you can pick
up some nappy sacks in your
local supermarket, or if you can't bear to part with
your money, try using a carrier bag, which even
better as you can get them for nothing and try
picking it up!!!!
This week alone between the Chinese and the post
office I have counted 3 piles of dog mess whilst
walking my kids to school along the pavement, and
constantly making sure they don't tread in it.
Being a dog owner myself I know for a fact that it
takes me as little as 30 seconds to pick it up, pop it
in a bag and dispose of in the nearest bin, situated
along that stretch of pavement too , also outside
the co-op and dog mess bins on the heath just
incase they're interested!!!
It's very easy to think nobody's seen you because
it's late and dark or very
early in the morning but
spare a thought for all the
school children, the
elderly, buggies and
general public and also
not forgetting the
residents who surely do
not appreciate walking
out of their front doors to a nasty surprise!!!
So please pick it up, doesn't cost much and just a
few seconds of your time!!!!
E Snell.

Dear Bruno
I read with interest, in the last Magazine, the item beginners to advanced riders

landowners were continuing and no final decision Council Mtg)
had yet been made about a preferred site. The issue
of access had become a significant issue which could
affect the final choice. The PC representatives
emphasised the importance of making land available
for allotment use, which should be a crucial factor to
be taken into account when making a choice.
As far as the allocation of housing units was
concerned, the Working Party was reassured to
learn that while Uttlesford would nominate tenants
for the new development, it would be required to
give absolute priority to applicants having a local
connection, in order to conform with the rules
relating to exception sites.

NEW VILLAGE HALL WITHIN SIGHT

I am very pleased to report that as a result of the
Public Meeting held at the Village Hall on Friday,
February 10th, it was decided by an overwhelming
vote, to go ahead with the building of a new Village
Hall.
There was a very good
attendance of Residents
(well over a hundred) and
the following points were
agreed upon: —

A That a new Village
Hall shall be built on the
present hall site. B That
we agree to sign the
Lease with the
Chelmsford Diocesan
Board of Finance on a 56
years' basis.
C That we accept the piece of land beside the present
hall offered by Messrs Morgan Ltd., and sign the
Transfer Deed accordingly.
D That our object is to build a new Hall costing
approximately £12,000.

Mr. R. Dreschfield, Secretary of the Community
Council of Essex was present and spoke very
usefully about the financial and legal implications
of building a Village Hall. His very clear answers
were much appreciated by all.
This project has now reached an interesting stage
and should progress more rapidly than before. It
should however be emphasised that when the land
has been obtained and plans agreed, it will still take
at least a year for the Department of Education to
make the 50 per cent grant.

Whatever my motives for going without food were I had Mezzo Soprano/Contralto
a sense of achievement of having raised some funds to

Sometimes the things that tempt or test us are how we
