The fraudster entices the purchaser and
WW reassures them it is a legitimate purchase by
using the widely recognised Trusted Shop
MEMORIALS Trustmark. They then use the Trustmark
fraudulently and provide a link on the bogus
J. Day & Son electrical website to another bogus website
(which purports to be Trusted Shops). This
Station Road, Bishop’s Stortford website shows a fake certificate purporting to
be from Trusted Shops and provides thousands

These reviews are all fraudulent. The website

therefore the purchaser is not covered by the

16016 Dec 2016 Protect yourself:

4 . Check the authenticity of the website
before making any purchases. Conduct a
‘Whois’ search on the website
https://who.is/

. Conduct online research in relation to the
website, company name and the business
address provided

. Check the Trusted Shops Facebook
page where warnings about websites
using their Trustmark are published. If you
are in doubt about the legitimacy of a
Trustmark then you can contact Trusted
Shops on 0203 364 5906 or by email

. Payments made via bank transfer are
not protected should you not receive the
item. Therefore always try to make the

If the item advertised seems too good to be

Broomfield Hospital shuttle bus service 15093 Aug 2016

A new shuttle bus service linking Chelmer
Valley Park and Ride car park and
Broomfield Hospital is now running. The
service is being piloted for a year, but beyond
that its continuation will be dependent on usage
– if it is not well used, it will be lost.

A single deck full size bus runs every half
hour between the two sites from 7am to 7pm
Monday to Friday and costs £3 per adult
passenger, or free to concessionary pass
holders after 9am.

The first bus leaves Chelmer Valley at 06.37
and run every 30 minutes at 07 and 37 past
each hour until 17.07. The last two buses
will then leave at 17.47 and 18.25.

For the return journey buses leave
Broomfield Hospital starting from 06.50 and
run every 30 minutes at 20 and 50 past each
hour until 17.20, with the last buses
departing at 18.00 and 18.40.

The journey time is 10 minutes each way.

The relevant information, including fares, routes
and timetable, is available on the UDC website
here
http://www.uttlesford.gov.uk/article/3705/Broom
field-Hospital-shuttle-bus-service. We will also
be using the UDC social media channels to
promote the service.

HARLOW TYE ROTARY CLUB Chesnut Drive Hatfield Heath
KEEP THE CHALLENGE ALIVE
15092 July 2016
Would you like to raise money for a
charity or voluntary organisation that is
dear to your heart, or are you involved in
such an organisation that needs to raise
money for a particular project? It can be

local, national or international and it
might be, for instance, a School, a Club, a

Hospice or a national charity such as
Cancer Research UK.

Yes, it is nearly time for Harlow Tye Rotary
Club’s Annual Charity Abseil event. In the 18
years so far an extraordinary £800,000 has
been raised for hundreds of worthy causes.

We see no reason to stop whilst there are
charities and voluntary organisations
needing help, particularly in the difficult
current economic circumstances.

When and where is it? It will take place on
Saturday and Sunday, 30th April and
1st May 2016 (the May bank holiday

weekend) at the Church Langley Water
Tower in Harlow.

How does it work? Our Club employs
fully qualified experts to train and supervise
you throughout the abseil procedure. You
have to pay an entry fee of £35 to take part
but 100% of the sponsorship that you raise
from family, friends and colleagues goes to
the beneficiary of your choice. By the way,

you have to be 16 or over to enter.

How do I (or they) get involved? Go to
our Club website

www.harlowtyerotary.org.uk and follow the
instructions there to download a registration

form and conditions of entry. Failing that,
you can e-mail us on

[email protected] or
telephone/text Bill on 07711982671 to have
them sent or delivered to you. Charities or
voluntary organisations can enter teams but

please contact us – see website – for
details. Entries are now being accepted.

Blooming marvellous gardens wanted for St
Clare Hospice!

Love gardening? Then could you help St Clare
Hospice grow its perennially popular Open Gardens
Weekend by opening your garden gates to the
public for its 2016 event?

Held every year in June for more than two decades, the Hastingwood-based
charity’s two-day horticultural event is an opportunity for lovers of all things flora
and fauna to explore some of the best-kept green spaces in the St Clare
catchment area. The 2016 Open Gardens weekend is being held on 25th and

26th June and tickets are on sale now!

This year, the Hospice is hoping to further grow its success by spreading its roots
and inviting new venues to take part. It is specifically looking for gardens in the
outlying villages surrounding the Hospice, such as Sheering, High Wych, Matching,
Spellbrook, Hatfield Heath, Gilston, Hunsdon, North Weald, Epping Green,
Thornwood, Nazeing and Roydon.

The Broad Oak Players committee, are trying our
best to keep this friendly and worthwhile element of
Hatfield Broad Oak village life rolling along. It
would be a pity to see it dissolve after so many
productive years when both performers and
audiences have had such fun together.
We pride ourselves on the fact that we include
everyone; we’ve helped many elderly get out and
about, many shy and several disabled people to gain
confidence and overcome many of their difficulties
whilst improving their communication skills and
we’ve even had several youngsters that have gone
on to drama school.
The bottom line is this; the Broad Oak Players
cannot exist without some new blood. Our
Chairman is Tony Rycroft and you can join us by
giving him a call on 01279 718778 or email him at
[email protected] Otherwise pop a note
through his door at Thrums, High Street, Hatfield
Broad Oak. Amazingly, it is free to join but worth a
fortune!

Come and join us, there’s a very warm welcome
just waiting for you!
