Now offering massage & Dear Editor
Relaxation treatments I have lived in the village from last 15+ years and
have the welfare of the village & residents at my
************** heart!
I couldn't help noticing that no efforts have been
Full Body Massage: £35 made by residents & tenants in keeping the footpaths
clear of overgrowing hedges & bushes! There are
De-Stress treatment: £35 footpaths which are encroached by foliage and
makes it impossible for two people to walk side by
(mini facial, back, neck, shoulder massage) side. At some places I wonder how mothers go with
their prams, with toddlers in tow!!
Full Body Exfoliate and Massage: £45 I would request that the village residents need to be
made aware of the width of the footpaths which
should be clear for users! Even the council residents
have duty to clear the overgrowth themselves or by
contacting the Local Council to clear the area!
Another issue which I have been thinking of raising
for a long while is about overgrowing trees! I noticed
that the trees in the green area around Cricket
ground have been trimmed so that there are no
overhanging branches which can injure or restrict the
use of the areas! However the danger remains for
the children (most of the village children!!) who are
playing in the play ground behind the school! It is
nice to see children playing football and running
around and at times climbing trees! But I will not be
surprised that there will be serious injury to some
child from the hanging branches. They are
dangerously low & can easily be trimmed so as to be

High quality gifts for all occasions. From External Post Boxes

A resident in Chelmsford Road/Friars Lane has had
post stolen from an exterior post box that is situated
near the entrance gate.
The thieves were probably selective over what they
stole, so that over a period of a few days they put
together enough information to be able to phone the
bank and have a new pin and card sent.
They then followed the postman so that they could
get to the post box before the victim.

MEMORIALS Holy Trinity Church

J. Day & Son Easter Egg Hunt

Station Road, Bishop’s Stortford Once again we had marvellous weather and hunters
turned out in force to find the laminated eggs that
Bishop’s Stortford 01279 654 555 had been cunningly concealed about the church and
Edmonton 0208 807 3712 churchyard.
At least they were cunningly concealed in the
www.jdayandson.co.uk beginning, but after the first hundred or so had been
laid, we were glad of any place to put them.
15021 Dec 2015 The children (and accompanying adults) seemed to
enjoy themselves and were hunting as keenly as
their children. Unfortunately some people turned up
without booking in and therefore we had not hidden
sufficient eggs. However some brilliant parents
came to the rescue by agreeing to ‘double-
up’ i.e. where they had entered for two children,
they elected to only find one set of eggs. This
reduced the fun for them, but did enable
the others to take part. Thank you very much to
those parents. Fortunately enough chocolate eggs
had been bought so that everyone went home
happy.
The children were
wonderfully good as
usual, showing respect
for the graves and the
church. Thank you
parents for having
such well-behaved
children.
Sandra Saban had the
completely impossible
job of judging the
Easter Bonnets, thank
you Sandra.

LOST TORTOISE Open Tues - Thurs 9 am-5 pm
Fri 9 am-6 pm
I live in the village, just past Hunters Meet. On 15
April our tortoise escaped from the garden having Sat 9am-4pm
managed to dig the soil from under the gate. I am
hoping someone in the village may have picked
him up thinking that he was in a rather dangerous
predicament - being so close to the road?
He is our family pet and we are all desperate to find
him safe and well.

My contact number is 01279 731 030
