The Society has been making notes on the Guards and

The death of the owner has caused the property to be put

interested parties to come to the fore. The article in a
recent Herts & Essex Observer shows a local lady has
taken up the project and this resulted in Anglia
Television filming the site. Sadly not many people had
the chance to see it. However a DVD copy has now been
sent to the History Society. A third party has also come to
the fore, so we look forward to developments with great
interest.

is a talent to look out for and you can't miss him with that

It's really been a squad effort again, 20 players represented
us in the league overall. We must thank our tea ladies
including Teresa Mascall for their time and effort
producing the best teas in the world - we really appreciate
it. Also, thanks must go to Tom Mascall who organises the
team, and evergreen Peter Graves for his many grass

We started youth cricket for 7-12 year olds in June which
has had a great response from the children and parents.
We'll continue to do it next year and nurture some
impressive young talents!
As you may be aware, the square was dug up and relaid in
September, which will hopefully improve the pitch as we
continue to march up the league in 2009!

On Tuesday, October 21, four second half goals guided

the team to a comfortable victory against near-neighbours

Hatfield Broad Oak. Following a goalless first half in the

home fixture, Abigail Stevens, Ewan Rockell, Harry

Feest and Cameron Dick all hit the target in a 4-0 win.

It was a tighter affair at Rodings on November 6, but still

the Heath emerged triumphant with a 2-1 win. Ewan

Rockell was joined on the scoresheet by James Baughurst

as the visitors nicked the points with a second half goal,

after going in at 1-1 at the break.
