Hatfield Heath Parish Council
Chairman’s Report, 2014.
I thank all our Councillors for their dedication and
work, there is never a problem finding volunteers for
tasks to be done. We should remember all Councillors
give their time voluntarily in order to serve on the
Parish Council and to help the Community of Hatfield
Heath, thank you all so much. I would like to thank Mel
especially for his work with Highways, and Gary for
his work with Hastoe on the building of 14 affordable
homes. I attended a filming at the site in Broomfields
last week, and have to report progress is now being
made but the project is behind schedule, due to the bad
weather in the early part of the year. The finish date will
now probably be January 2015; those houses have a
fantastic view over the fields from the back.
I would like to thank our Clerk for his work, advice and
help during the year, thank you Ernie it has been a
pleasure working with you.
Items carried out and considered over the year included:
· Grass verges outside the Surgery.
· Stansted Airport Noise and track keeping
liaison with NTKWG
· Planting Jubilee Tree
· Drain Clearance at Car Park.
· Protection of the Heath-Church Road.
· Trees removed from ponds on Heath.
· Affordable Housing Project.
· Additional Dog Bins on The Heath.
· Junction improvement schemes at A1060
Stortford/Sawbridgeworth Rd. and Dunmow
/Chelmsford Road.
· Bus Shelter outside Post Office.
· M11 Junction 7a.
· Minerals Extraction Plan.
· Parking issues outside Surgery, School and
access roads to Beehive Court and The Co-op.
· Reporting numerous pot holes (A great number
have now been dealt with.)
· Flooding in Stortford and Dunmow roads.
· Planning and Signage issues.
It was a pleasure to welcome Sir Alan Haselhurst MP,
to one of our meetings, he is always ready to help with
any issues that the Parish Council may have. Our
District Councillor, Councillor Sue Barker has attended
our meetings on more than one occasion; I would like
to thank her for her help and advice.
Thank you so much for your hard work and support
during the year in trying to make Hatfield Heath such a
wonderful village to live in.

TRIPS AND ACTIVITIES 11 th edition 16th May
In Year 4 the children designed and made chairs with a specific
character in mind. They researched many designs, patterns and
characters and then came up with their own. The children first
made prototypes of their chair and then made their final piece
out of clay or modroc. They then painted them. The children
really enjoyed this project as they were able to combine
research and imagination to come up with their final piece.

Table Top Sale
Good evening Bruno,
I am on the Ancient Marriage Feast Room
committee, which is at Matching. We raise funds
to maintain the 15th century building. It is a
unique building and we believe it to b e the only
one of its kind, in England.
The reason I am writing, is that we are holding a
Table Top Sale on July 12th from 10 till 1 p.m. in
Matching Village Hall to raise funds. We are
charging £10 for a table
We have a few tables available, and there should
b e a variety of items for sale. I suppose one could
describe it as an Indoor Boot Sale. We will serve
tea and coffee.
Many thanks Amy Holland 01279 731 297
